I have positive thoughts regarding Farmstead Care. I would move over there today. It was very nice, and I like it. The director was very nice, too. The tour was good, and it felt comfortable. I like everybody, and I thought the staff was nice. It is set in a residential area, so it is warm and inviting. It's very clean, too.

I liked the lady who gave us the tour at Farmstead Care. She was very good, but I didn't like the facility because when you walk into it and go to the assisted living apartments, you have to go through that section to get to dementia care. As you're walking in that quarter, they have cathedral ceilings that are just extremely high up, which is great in a church, but when you're in a living facility, it sort of echoes the sound. There was tile and carpet on the floor and you just felt very small and it was kind of cold. Not cold temperature-wise, but it didn't have the warmth that some of the other ones I was feeling. When I went, everybody was watching a TV. So I'm not sure if it just wasn't an activity time or not, but about eight residents were watching a TV show. They were out in the area with the cathedral ceilings. It was very very clean. The people who work there want to work there and as I was watching them interact with different residents on our walk-in and stuff, and the people that were outside the building and sitting with the staff, they were good. It was astonishingly clean. It was just immaculate.
