I only visited Golden Horizons of Crosslake. It's close to home and I'm satisfied with it. They have bingo, they do exercises with the residents every day, they have a social hour with entertainment, and the meals are satisfactory. I haven't found any problems with it. I think the care is pretty good. They're understaffed a little bit. I they could use more employees because sometimes the residents have to wait a little while before their call buttons are answered. My husband's room is a studio type apartment with a bedroom and living room together, a separate little kitchen, and a separate bathroom.

I toured Golden Horizons of Crosslake. The director was outstanding. She knew everybody and they liked her, that's number one and so important. Also, the second thing is, that it's not huge. It was a smaller group. Some places have lots of people, and this place doesn't. They had things that I thought were important, such as having meetings where they could sit around a table and discuss something.

We toured Golden Horizons of Crosslake. This was very spacious, newer, and clean. The rooms were big. The private rooms were nice. The size was good. They had lots of activities that they scheduled and planned. It was very welcoming, and we liked that one. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and gave lots of information. Everything was very up-to-date and modern. They had a studio that was probably a little over 300 square feet, then the bigger room was over 400 square feet, a private bathroom, a walk-in shower, and everything was wheelchair accessible.

I toured Golden Horizons of Crosslake. It's on one level, which was nice. The apartments have a stove and refrigerator. It looks like they have good activities. It's a smaller place, so it's a little more like a family within the building. The size of the apartment was pretty good and the activities were good. It was clean. The staff was good.

I liked that Golden Horizons of Crosslake was smaller. It's not big. It's all in one story. It looked like their food was good because they had the ex-chef from Lucky's restaurant as their chef. So, I thought that looked nice and they had a nice little snack bar with beverages in their cafeteria area. I just thought it was cute. The apartments had a full kitchen. It had a microwave, stove, refrigerator, sink, and everything. When I went to another facility, they gave me a packet full of stuff and I didn't get that at Golden Horizons of Crosslake. The woman that toured me was very nice and very good.

The person that ran Golden Horizons of Crosslake was very helpful and informative. She took a lot of time with me and answered lots of questions very clearly. She was very knowledgeable as far as what the price ranging was and gave me a little description of the other people that lived there. She seemed to have a good rapport with her staff. It was a relaxed feeling. She showed me a one bedroom that had a little kitchenette and a living room. The nice thing about it was both of the rooms had a window to the outside. So, it had natural lighting. Everything was very clean and comfortable. It didn't feel sterile. It would be a place I would be comfortable to have my family be in.
