I toured Boden Senior Living in Apple Valley. The individual rooms were big; I liked that. I liked the fact that it didn't seem to be all cramped. I liked the nurse that we met, but I was not really fond of the selling agent. I liked the common area. When you come in, there's a fireplace and a common area behind that. They have a group dining room, and that part I liked about it. I liked the fact that the rooms are along the hallway on both sides. It was just new, so they were not all full, so it was nice to think that we could get in there now if we needed to. I viewed the memory unit, and I thought it was fine. We talked to the woman who does the activities, and I really liked her. I thought she was good. She would try to get input from the people there about what they would like to do. She is also trying to plan activities out, which I thought would be good, of course not at this time of year, but when it's warmer in the summer. I think it would be great to have a small enough group that you could take them out and go places. They offered a respite care option, which is something I'm considering, so that when I have my surgery, my friend could go there for respite care. It's not really a trial, but it would give both of us an option to see what it was like while I was getting some help, and that would be a nice feature.
