My dad is currently at Northern Comfort Specialized Care Inc. He's getting good care. He's safe, fed well, and he's getting a little more personal care than in a larger facility, in my opinion. The staff members are all doing really a good job. It's all individual rooms and no roommates, which is nice. They're appropriately sized. Each resident has their own TV, so that's a good thing. According to him, the food is pretty good. So at this point, he's not complaining. They're kind of lacking in activities. It's assisted living, but the clientele is not cognitively functioning at the best level, or at a norm. They're doing what they can do within the realms of what they have to do for persons of that condition. It's very expensive, but again, it's a higher level of care; it's not standard. They have common spaces available, a living room area, and a dining room area. It's cozy and a homey visiting option.
