"From the moment I walked in the door, I knew River Ridge was the place for my mom. It was evident that all residents were treated with care and respect. I was also impressed that the memory care facility was light, bright, had various sitting areas, and the outdoor area was very nice (including a long cement sidewalk for me to take my mom for a nice walk in her wheelchair. The aides were NOT on their phones all time and constantly interacted with the residents. My mom was well fed and taken care of by skilled individuals that truly cared about her well-being. In moms’ final days, she was treated with dignity and respect. I felt like our whole family was treated like royalty with snacks and food as we navigated this difficult time. Their care and concern for my mom and our entire family was appreciated beyond measure and will not be forgotten. "

"My Dad spent almost 2 years at Grand Brook Memory Care of Grand Rapids. It was the best decision my sisters and I made. Staff are very caring. Eventually the people (staff, residents & resident's family members) seem like a 2nd family. The activities director is very loving and keeps the residents busy with various activities. I never thought my Dad would play bingo! I especially connected with the maintenance guy who is much more than that. He, like all the others, not directly involved in the care of the residents, do more than just their "jobs". Everyone knows the resident's names. If you are looking for memory care for your loved one, I would recommend this place."

"I like Rivertown Ridge. It's newer. It's four years old. The people are very friendly. We went through independent living to their memory care. They were very helpful. People were coming up and introducing themselves. They have a large area for walking, a tennis court, and a lovely outdoor pool. It's just a nice feeling. In terms of cleanliness, it's very clean and very well taken care of."

"I toured Grand Village Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was lovely. The tour was wonderful. It is bright, cheerful, and new-looking, and there are lots of windows. It's a very pleasant place to be in. The staff was excellent, helpful, and answered the questions that I had very nicely. With activities, I saw people playing bingo. There's a nice outdoor space, so people were sitting outdoors. They have lots of activities that they have listed. The person who gave me the tour talked about how they had just taken people to Holland on a bus. They went down basically to the shopping street in Holland and had a nice time doing some shopping. They played bingo. They had a cookout with their residents and families in the past few days before I visited there. It sounds to me like they do a lot of things to keep their residents busy. The rooms were lovely. We saw both a studio and a one-bedroom, and they both were of adequate size for what my mom needed. They were lovely apartments."

"I've been to American House Jenison. The best thing was, the bedrooms were large and larger than other places I've seen, but I only looked at a one-bedroom. It was very clean, and the people seemed to be having a good time there. They were out there playing cards and stuff and had a movie room. I thought it was pleasant. The staff was great, very detailed, and very personally involved."

"Commonwealth Senior Living at North Byron was nice. The colors were all light and airy, and the rooms were inviting. The staff members were very helpful, informative, friendly, and welcoming. The rooms were a nice size and very comfortable."

"The tour I had was very thorough. The facility was spotless. Everybody seemed to be at ease and having a good time at dinner. I toured 2 of their apartments, and they were beautiful. One of them was furnished, so it could give you an idea of what it could be like. One of them had a small balcony that was very nice. So, my overall experience with touring it was great, along with the person who helped me through that tour. They had a library, a workout room, and a piano. I don't think anything was missing or lacking at that facility. You could also add on things like pill management or somebody to do your laundry if you can't make it. There were options to add on other services."

"Its a great place from get go. They were able to fill all the paperwork for my mom and have taken care of her since last 3 years. The rooms are airy, well maintained and staff is very courteous and kind. Food is whole some and nutritious. It is a great place for my mom who has enjoyed staying there ever since. I can trust the staff to do the right things. My mom's safety has always been on top of their mind. Highly Recommended!!"
