"Friendship Village Kalamazoo has very long hallways and it's very much like a dorm. It's just long hallways with doors. The apartments are nice, and they aren't too big, but they're adequate. They're like two-bedrooms. We are very active and we do everything and that's hard to do in this place. We've got friends there. They have a pool, which is kind of nice. Like all pools, it has a lot of downtime. The problem with their place is they have close to 400 people and when it comes to suppertime, they have to go in shifts. If you don't do it in shifts, you just don't get food. They also have a courtyard. They have detached apartments and they're very nice and quite large, around 1700 to 2000 square feet, but if you want to go to eat, you have to walk to the dining room which is 500 yards away. They have a beautiful auditorium. If you have visitors, you can't park very close. You have to park about a block away in order to get in and that's inconvenient when it's snowing outside. They have garage parking, but you have to walk quite a ways to get to it. It's a very nice place. The food was good."
