We have visited my wife's aunt a number of times. She suffers from dementia related to a fall she had about 10 years ago. From what I am told she was put in a number of other facilities short term, until an opening was available in Hope Haven. The reason Hope Haven was the preference was because of their experience with memory and mentally challenged patients. Another aunt of my wife's is a nurse and knows some of the nurse's at Hope Haven. The focus is evident once you are there. The nurses are very comfortable dealing with patients, something I have seen not be the case at other facilities when mentally challenged patients and memory-deficient patients are having issues. These nurses take great care of these types. While to the best of my knowledge they don't advertise this as a specialty, the nurses on hand do a great job. The rest of the facility is standard. Nothing out of the ordinary, but just a solid overall facility.

This facility is a very warm, inclusive environment for many types of disabled people on all different levels. They provide the best care without judgement of the condition of the person they are serving. They provide group homes, individual assistance, or other types of custom plans to suit the needs of every person. They also have a very nice facility that provides jobs for their people, so they can work together as a team and have fun several days of the week together, providing a purpose in life. They are very accustomed to different types of disabilities. Many times there are different outings that they can go on, and experience life as any other person would! Great people work there, great people reside there. All in all I trust this facility with my sister and the care that they provide!
