My spouse and I are just at the beginning of our exploration of senior living options, and a visit to Walden Place led by Eddie R. was the perfect way to start. He was so knowledgable, and comprehensive, and kind. He showed us several room options all of which seemed highly inviting due to their efficient lay-outs, windows, closets, and patios. The dining experience included many vegetarian options (a must for me!), a lovely dining room, and pleasant serving staff. Based on this Eddie-curated visit, Walden Place is at the top of our options list.

I've toured here recently and was surprised at how involved the staff was. It seemed like everyone stopped to say hello and introduce themselves. I met a few residents and they were candid about living here. They had such great things to say. If you're looking for a nice place that isn't stuffy or snooty and feels welcoming, this is the place. I can't wait to bring my aunt here to tour.

I live here in a studio apartment. The size is just perfect for me and the price couldn't be matched. I have made so many friends while living here too.

The tour I had at Walden Place was wonderful. Rene took me around. His knowledge was excellent. His personality was awesome. He was a very nice, cordial guy to take me in. We had lunch together there. The food was OK and we probably spent a good three hours together. He showed me everything and told me everything. The other staff I saw were all really accommodating, too, and wanted to be of help. They had a really nice attitude. I was really impressed with everything. If I was going to punch the ticket and go tomorrow, that's where I would go. They were setting up for bean bag baseball, but they didn't start playing it yet. We were there a little early. The people were very welcoming. The outdoors were just a bit dated, but it still was presentable and clean.

The rep at Walden Place was very professional when we did the tour. It was a very clean facility and the people were all very nice. They let us sample the food so we went at lunchtime to sample the food, and the food was good. The staff who helped us went through the whole building, and all of the areas, and went through a couple of different apartments. We were able to see the plans for the different options there. Overall, it was a nice facility. The layout was easily accessible for my brother, and they have an elevator. Everything was mapped out and simple to get to.

I went to Walden Place. It was a great tour, they're very friendly, the housing was clean, and the residents were happy. The staff was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and answered all of our questions. The rooms were clean, roomy, and flexible. They had a variety. I viewed a one-bedroom and a studio, and both were nice.

My daughter is in Walden Place. We chose it because everybody else wanted too much money. It seems like a pretty nice and clean place. The people are real nice over there and everything. I like it. The room is really nice. She just went in yesterday. The surroundings are fine. The whole place is nice and clean. I love it. They have an exercise room, a TV room, an art room, and a chapel. They got different things that people would be into. The staff that I met seemed pretty nice. The people were having lunch, and I guess it's pretty good. They have drawing, a movie room, and different activities for the people that are there. She loves to draw, so she likes that.

I toured Walden Place for my dad. The staff were friendly and informative. It is like a long building. It is clean, fresh, airy, and pleasant. It is just long, and it might be hard for some people.

Walden Place is very welcoming and very quaint, and I thought it would be a place where my mother would feel very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and very enthusiastic. What really I enjoyed were the people, especially the person who showed me around. They showed me the one-bedroom. It would be perfect for my mother. It has a nice closet space and the bathroom was good. The place is very friendly, and I walked away with a really good feeling about the place; it's very warm.

My mom is moving into Walden Place. I have signed a lease at Walden Place, but I have not moved her in yet because she is in a skilled nursing facility. As for Walden Place, I liked what I saw and it was clean. Food was good. The sales people were very nice. The reason why I chose them is the range of ages of people from 55 all the way to 99. The major point for me was easy access to where we are living. The apartments were okay and clean. We picked a decent apartment. It is pretty nice, and it has a nice balcony. They are going to do whatever we ask. They are going to make it handicapped accessible, which is a plus. It did not have a walk-in shower, which is the only thing I didn't like about this. There is plenty of space. I picked a 500 square foot one bedroom apartment.

My sister is currently in Walden Place. The staff there is quite good I think, and they've been doing a good job when they have had possible COVID-19 cases come up. They've been doing a very good job of keeping that under control. It's a very friendly place, they're still doing activities, but there's probably fewer people taking part now than before the whole pandemic began. They're doing the usual safeguards and keeping people spread apart and wearing masks. They have an exercise room, and the physical therapist is working with my sister.

We decided to stay where we are at Walden Place. It's very comfortable with very friendly people, good people to take care of the situation, excellent serving staff, and cleaning staff. They do a good job, we have no problems at all. There's family-feel with the residents, like in an apartment, but you get to know your neighbors well. I have no complaints. The food is very good generally, you have options, and you can ask things off the menu, and generally they do a very good job with that also. They have a lot of different things, every day there's something quite often something special, and last week they had something for seniors for healthy living and keeping active. They have a library, exercise room, family room, TV room, and a nice outdoor area to relax in, and laundry facilities on every floor.

The rooms at Walden Place are very good. The staff is very kind, and there's always somebody around to answer questions for you. The food is satisfactory, and I appreciate the small servings. I moved in Wednesday and Thursday and went shopping already. They have a luncheon scheduled later in the month and different activities in different areas. They have a big-screen television with a couple couches where men can watch football games or any sports they want and not be disturbed. They had a piano player the other day mid-afternoon in the dining room.

I visited Walden Place. It was very nice, but I wanted something in my area in the Quad cities rather than Iowa City. It is very large. However, it seemed like they had a lot of things. The staff was marvelous, and the room was nice, but we decided that my parents needed to be closer to me. The lady that I toured with was very helpful, but the place felt very crowded.

Walden Place was absolutely adequate in every way, and the people were helpful. It did not have the amenities that the other places have like a theater and a pool, but you would be comfortable living there.

We went to Walden Place for my mom. It was a very nice facility, but the travel for us wasn't convenient. The rooms were very nice. They had a couple of sizes that they offered. Their personnel were quite helpful and willing to work with you. Their chef seemed very knowledgeable about the cooking. They offered us a meal, and it was good. The only drawback that they had was their distance from where we live. However, the overall look of the facility was really nice; it was a nice setup. I would recommend Walden Place.

Walden Place was very nice, and the staff was wonderful. We've eaten there several times, and the food is excellent. Every time I was there it was something different. They had an outdoor concert earlier this year, and that was very nice. They keep calling me because they wanted me to come for Labor Day. They have some concerts, speakers that come in and talk, and all kinds of different things. I checked on the rooms and they were nice, but right now I am in a condo by myself, and it was like too much of a downsize for me. The staff was wonderful. They were very friendly, and they'd go out of their way to help you. They even have three chefs that are on duty to prepare the meals, set up the menus, and so forth, and I was very impressed with that. They have snacks on the countertop in between meals, and it seems like there is always something around to eat.
