"My in-laws moved into a cottage home at GVS while in their 70s. They enjoyed all of the activities, opportunities to get involved, meet others, and experience maintenance-free independent living. When my mother-in-law became terminally ill she moved to the Pavilion and received very good care. After her death, my father-in-law moved to the apartments. What makes GVS a 5-star community? Amazing friendships, good exercise, fun entertainment, quality meals, engaging activities, enriching trips, and excellent staff all in one place. In fact, our family believes he is still thriving at age 92 because of all he has been able to contribute to activities and committees in the GVS community and all it has given back to him in the 18 years he has lived there. We also appreciate how the staff responded and adapted so quickly to the pandemic and its challenges. We are thankful for their ongoing communication with families. "My parents chose Country Charm. They liked it because it had an outside door, and they can sit on the porch. They also like because it has a kitchen. Everybody seemed very happy. We were invited for a meal, and the food was OK. My parents enjoyed it. The staff were very pleasant. "

"My parents moved to Magnolia Springs when my dad was not doing well, he was actually on hospice for awhile. The caregivers are amazing, they are caring and compassionate. They made it possible for my brothers and me to relax a bit and know my parents were safe. "

"I liked everything about The Wellington at Southport. The rooms were nice. The area is secured. Everybody's friendly, but they have no rooms right now. The rooms were clean and nicely organized. Everything looked good. I looked at the memory ward and it was separate from the others. The staff during the tour was very good, and answered all of our questions. She even came up with stuff I didn't even think about. She was very helpful. Everything was clean, well organized, and nicely laid out. They had a courtyard, a barbershop, laundry services, they have their own physical therapy there, and they have therapy animals come in."

"Everything at Rosegate Assisted Living was nice. The spacious rooms have a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a balcony where you can sit outside. The staff was nice. "

"Worthington Place has been excellent. The living atmosphere is great. My mom's unit is roomy. She has her own bed, a little living room, a little kitchenette, and a big bathroom. The staff has been awesome. They've worked really closely with her to make the transition work. There's games every day, crafts, music, people that come in to entertain once in a while, and some field trips. She hasn't participated yet and that's kind of been locked down because of COVID, but they keep her pretty active. They have a beauty shop, too. The dining area is nice. It's got an open concept. The place is super clean and all the other residents seem to welcome the new ones well."

"We visited Meadow Lakes, and it's in a good location. They have a lake, walking trails, exercise trails, a clubhouse, and everything you could ever want. The villas are spectacular, and so is the price. The manager was very attentive and hospitable to us. I was very pleased with everything."

"I would like to share our experience with Altenheim. My mother was admitted to their care under the St, Francis Hospice Care. The staff from the director were extremely cordial and showed true loving care for mom. Any questions I had were addressed immediately and all kept us informed for the care of mom. Unfortunately she pass August 24th and they gave us all the privacy we needed. If you or a family member need a caring facility, these people are the best in my eyes. Keep up the great work. I will be visiting them quite often even though mom has gone home to be with others."

"My wife had spent some time at Cumberland Trace previously in their rehab, so I knew a little bit about it to start with. I've had some of the meals and I would rate it five across the board. It was a little expensive, but that's about the only drawback I saw on it. My wife stayed in a semi-room. There's a memory care area and my wife was in rehab, but they were very similar in the rooms with a large bathroom and a large bedroom. They didn't show me any activity, but I could see some residents walking around. I saw a crafts room and some availability of space for family visits and whatnot."

"The Oaks at Plainfield is a beautiful community for seniors 55+. The staff is so kind and the residents are so sweet- you can tell they love where they live. They have lots of amenities for residents as well- including meals, a fitness center, movie theater, maintenance, housekeeping, and much more!"

"Friendly and stable staff. Residents enjoy good times both in the courtyard and in the public areas, a welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are bright with plenty of light. Convenient to Perry Crossing , restaurants and other shopping. "

"I have lived here 7 years. I have been content. I'd like to point out that we do not have food. Our dining room closed several years ago. Since the new owners took over., all the Resident Services Coordinators have been let go. So there is no one in each building to ask for help now. I just spent an hour walking buildings 3 and 4 to find someone to whom I could give a maintenance request. There were only two employees working today as it is a Jewish holiday and the rest of the staff is off work on these holidays. I wish I had been told this. There is no food available now."

"Independence Village is a very nice, comforting facility in Columbus, IN. Every time I visit the facility, I notice the staff is always interacting and willing to provide any type of support to the residents. They offer many activities on a daily basis for the residents. The care seekers are very polite and helpful as well."
