"I toured Carolina Estates yesterday. I liked how happy and well-pleased the people were. I sat down with two gentlemen and a lady during dinner, and naturally, I asked them questions about how they felt about the place, and I didn't get one negative review. They had a seafood bowl yesterday, and it was delicious. The staff who gave the tour was very informative, very nice, and polite. I also looked at the people who were on the ground floor, and I liked the way they did their landscaping. They had little sculptures in their yard. My only complaint was their parking. I use the aid of a walking cane, and I had to park almost at the back, which meant I had to walk to the front. They had a workout room, and they had a physical therapist. If you don't want to go down the buffet line, they would come to your table and take your order as if you were in a restaurant."

"My parents and my aunt moved into Harmony at Greensboro. I liked the broad range of activities regardless of the person's physical capabilities; they're very inclusive of everyone. They have a very nice dining menu with lots of options, so the resident doesn't feel like they're locked into just the special of the day. They have lots of other everyday options. The staff has been very caring, responsive, and loving with the residents. It's a new facility that's less than five years old. The facilities are super clean, nice, spacious, and airy. They have a lot of outdoor space for those who can get outdoors. The food is very good. It's better than expected for that type of environment."

"My Father was in their Assisted Living unit. Our family was very happy with the care he received. The Med Techs and Aides were very responsive and caring. Whenever Dad pushed his call button staff came quickly. The management was great with their communication and was very accessible. My Das has been in 2 other Assisted Living facilities before we moved him to Heritage Greens. It definitely is so much better than the other 2 he was in."

"We like Salemtowne. It's very pretty, has a very nice apartment, and has very nice people. Everything is great about it, the location, the food, the people, and the support you get. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We have a kitchen, but there's a dining room, and we can go there. There are many activities, although we haven't done any of them yet. The place is very clean and kept up maintenance-wise."

"My mom is a resident of Arbor Acres. Her experience overall appears to be pretty positive. Her room is clean, and the staff is personable and helpful."

"I toured Heritage Woods, and it's very nice. Everybody was very nice and helpful. I've eaten there before with my sister-in-law when she was there, and the food was good. I looked at a studio apartment and also a one-bedroom apartment. I liked the one bedroom one bath. It's got a little bit of a kitchen with a full bath and a large bedroom. It's very clean all over, and I like the dining area."

"I went and looked at Homestead Hills, and all the employees were extremely nice and very supportive. They were very caring, attentive, and answered all questions. The facility was very clean. They were extremely helpful, and they even followed up."

"My mother is in Countryside Village Retirement Community independent living. She's gonna be moving later this week to the assisted living part. It served all the basic needs. It's a good community. The residents were very friendly to one another. The staff is very polite, very patient and understanding. She's been there just short of four years. She has a two-bedroom apartment that's handicap accessible and has a spacious floorplan. The overhead lighting could have been better. Bingo is an activity they offer. They had coffee for the residents in the mornings and exercise, which they call seniorcise. They usually have a social on a monthly basis in the activities room or lodge. There was a library and an outdoor courtyard with a gazebo. She will be moving into a whole separate section of the complex, and it's a private room. They just provide one meal in independent living; that's lunch."

"River Landing at Sandy Ridge is very expensive. It's not a new place. It has been around forever. What I like best about them is the location and the facilities, and they go on trips, but you have to have a lot of money to live there. However, you can be there until the Good Lord comes to get you because they have all of those facilities. If you get to where you need someone to come and wash your face, you don't have to pack up and move somewhere to get that service. They have everything. They have swimming pools, tennis courts, and walking trails. It's beautiful. From the way it looks, it's well-kept. You can live in an apartment or a cottage. They have cottages and apartment-style units. You have a choice, and it depends on where you want to put your money. The food was good at the time that I had eaten there. My friend invites me over to have lunch with her often, usually for our birthday, Mother's Day, or something, and I have not had a bad meal with her. The staff is very nice and very polite. Some people have traditions like happy people produce happy service."

"My loved one spent two months at the Bermuda Village rehabilitation facility. His room was clean and spacious. The staff was caring and attentive. He was motivated and encouraged to improve (move) by the staff. They made his experience much more than we could have ever hoped for. Although he was very ill they showed compassion and he felt that the staff took his improvement personally. We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Bermuda Village rehabilitation facility."

"My mother was in RidgeCrest. She was in independent and assisted. She was there for eight years. It was very good. The staff was very caring and they were able to keep her almost to the end of her life in their community. She loved it. The residents were very nice and welcoming to her and the staff was wonderful. Her first independent apartment was lovely. It had two bedrooms, and it was spacious and had a nice view. In the assisted living, it was just one room and it was adequate for what she needed at that time. I ate there for eight years. The food was fine. She was constantly in activities. She was on their social committee. She wrote welcome cards, get well cards, and birthday cards for everybody. She was the first person to greet everybody when they were new and take them to the dining room and introduce them to other people. She played bingo three times a week. She went on bus trips. Even during COVID, they took care of her. The worst part was during COVID when we couldn't go in. They raised the rate every year, but it was worth it."

"I toured Well-Spring Retirement Community. It has everything you could want for all levels, and it is a large facility that would allow me to walk get my steps and get in shape. It has a gym. It has a swimming pool. It's hard to beat that. It was very clean. The cafeteria was very nice. It was very pleasant. Everybody there was pleasant and was very willing to talk and give me all the information I wanted."

"My mother stayed at Friends Homes. It was a great place. They were very kind. The staff got to know my mom until the end. I knew there was a problem, and I called to have a welfare check. I called the nurse that we had been working with, and she didn't go check on my mom. As it turned out, my mom had fallen. She couldn't get up, but she waited until she heard other people in the hall going to dinner. She just yelled until somebody responded, so I don't know how long she was on the ground. She then went to the hospital and we discovered that she most likely had lung cancer. And I think that's not their fault at all. But other than that, the staff was fabulous. My mom said she didn't have to cook the food, so it was great for her. My mom was a difficult person, but she was reasonably happy there, which for her was probably as happy as she had been anywhere. Every other staff member was phenomenal. The facility was very nice. It's a very well-established home. They have anything that you could want. They had fabulous activities. The price was very reasonable for what she got."

"I toured The Carillon. It was nice. They were very welcoming. The rooms were small, but she said they were all the same size. They just arrange them differently. Some areas in the room are bigger than others, but it was nice. I just didn't like the idea of not having a dining room and having to be in Greensboro. Jen was helpful, answered all my questions, was friendly, and gave me a great tour. Everything was great. I have no complaints whatsoever."
