"Baldwin House Lakeside is clean and friendly. The rooms are very nice, spacious, clean, and bright. The staff members are caring and nice. They offer meals, laundry, and housekeeping. There's a medical team on staff, and they offer activities for the seniors as well. They have a little library, a chapel, and an activity room. My mom eats the food, and she likes it. They have good offerings of food. It's reasonably priced considering how expensive it can be."

"I went to Villa Bella of Clinton Township. It was very nice, but my father-in-law couldn't afford that. The lady that gave me the tour was wonderful. She was very nice and very helpful. She did a great job. She did show me a room, and it was very nice. The rooms were well-kept-up. They looked good. I saw the pool room, where they play bingo and cards, and the movie theater place. The facility was beautiful. "

"American House Lakeshore was nice, friendly, and clean. The rooms were a little bigger than the other ones we looked at, and they were very adequate. The staff during the tour was very nice and very straightforward about everything. They were having a music-type program with the people in memory care, which was well attended, and it seemed like they were enjoying it. The facility seemed to be well maintained. I noticed the carpeting was kind of needing repair, but they told me it's all being replaced with wooden floors. They had a fitness room and a library."

"I visited American House East II for my mom. It's for enhanced independent living. They serve the residents three meals a day, and they have daily housekeeping daily. They all have walk-in tubs, which is something she really needed. She liked the facilities and the other services that they have to offer if needed. The staff members who assisted me during the tour were very nice and very friendly. They answered the questions that my mom had, and they showed her three different apartments that were available."

"My mother has moved into Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. The staff is very friendly, compassionate, and professional and has been since the day we walked in the door. They checked all the boxes for us. We looked at a lot of facilities, and this is a facility that just felt like home and had a very professional yet very kind staff. They have activities, three meals, and a full medical staff because they're connected with the rehab facility and skilled nursing facility, so that's a good asset as well."

"This place was beautiful. It was like a luxury senior living domain, but the price was just too much. The rooms were five-star. They had many activities, and one of them was chair exercise. American House was the nicest one of all. "

"Greystone was adequate and pleasant. The staff was efficient. The patients seemed contented. "

"I had an in-person tour of the Meadows of Anchor Bay. They didn't have a lot to do. You don't get any meals. It was a nice apartment. You could have one or two bedrooms. They have full kitchens and living rooms. Sometimes, they have one or two bathrooms. The staff members were very nice and helpful. The people don't move out. Once they get in there, they stay there, so that's a plus. When somebody dies or if they have to move out, then you get a room. There is a long waiting list to get in. There isn't much staff there because they don't eat there."

"My mom moved into the Village of East Harbor. It's clean, perfect, and has good care. It's a beautiful community. I would recommend anyone being there. The staff is impeccable. They got a chapel and a breakfast joint there. It's 44 acres of a beautiful area. It's safe and secure. I think it's beautiful inside and gorgeous. They have a lot of activities. They take care of their people. There's no dirt."

"I had a very positive experience Mercy Village. The people were gracious when I visited. They serve three meals a day. They have almost everything you want, like church and all kinds of things to keep you busy. The staff is very informative. Whenever I call back to ask questions, they have been very pleasant."

"I visit my Aunt (who has been a resident at Lake Huron Woods for about 5 years) at least four times a month. My Aunt has loved living at LHW and suggestes to everyone she meets to move in! She participates in many daily community activities and enjoys going down daily for her meals in the dining room. She says the meals are always delicious and is happy she doesn't have to cook for herself anymore. She has made many new friends and made lots of memories during the past 5 years!! She is definitely living her BEST LIFE and ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE OF IT! The entire staff goes above and beyond and is always available if or when needed. We are truly blessed to have Lisa, Lori and Diane working in the front office. The entire community is beautiful including my Aunts apartment-it really is spacious! We love knowing my Aunt can stay in her home and age-in place - If needed LHW has a on-site 24 hour medical team. "

"I toured The Village of Lake Huron Woods. They served lunch while we were there, and that place is right next to my church. The food there was excellent, the portion sizes were good, and the food was freshly made. It wasn't like restaurant food. They have a chef in the facility who prepares everything. The facility was very well kept. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. She called me a couple of weeks after I did the tour and let me know that I was on their waiting list. They just opened a new section, and those places are brand new, a little bit of a walk from the back of the complex to the front of the complex. I don't drive, but they do have transportation available. The staff showed me three different units that I was interested in: the one-bedroom, the large studio, and the small studio, which was nicely kept. I know a couple of people who go to my church and live there. One of them recommended it to me. While I was up there, they did a thing called the Sale Trail, which basically involves everybody on that particular stretch of Michigan 25 Road. They had a big yard sale, and all the people in the complex participated, which was cool. They showed me where they played cards, and they had music, but nothing was going on at the time."

"My mom will be moving in at The Parkdale. The place was very clean, and the people were very friendly. It just gave us a good vibe when we were touring it. We saw the dining area, but we did not see the menu. It used to be a hotel, so the room sizes were like regular hotel rooms. They had studio rooms and rooms with a kitchenette. The staff was very accommodating. The residents were doing bingo while we were there."
