The Birches Assisted Living

The Birches Assisted Living and Memory Care is a small community. I feel like there's only a total of 50 or 60 people there. So, it's a much smaller, tighter community compared to some of the other ones that are high-rise. Everyone knows each other. The people and the staff are amazing. They were lovely, from the facility people to the cooks to the salespeople trying to get you in. The director was good, too. It's an older-style mansion house. It's only two floors. They're in the middle of doing cosmetics like the carpet, chairs, wallpaper, and aesthetics. They're updating it all and it is nice. They're seeing that they're an aged facility and they're updating everything. I feel like in five years, it'll be a completely different vibe than it was. They had rooms of multiple sizes and styles. They had a larger one and two-bedroom rooms, which were beautiful. I just couldn't afford them because they were a little more expensive. Then the studios are a little smaller than we wanted. They have an outdoor space that I've never seen anywhere, like Zen gardens. There's an actual garden in the back where people who live there can grow plants and vegetables. There's a beautiful outdoor water garden. It's by far the best outdoor space ever and it's more in the suburbs. So, it is more woodsy. If that's the style of house you want, this place is amazing and better than any of the other ones I've seen.
