I am at the Glen at Lake Oconee Village. I chose this one because my doctors all have an office here, so I didn't have to switch doctors. They had all of my paperwork and everything. They also have a dietitian here that tries to do my meals. Plus, I was familiar with the area because I used to live here. My room was the only one that they had at the time. It's not very big, but it's comfortable. I have a big bathroom. It's as good as any that I saw. The place is very nice and very homey. There are no people sitting around asleep, and they do a lot of activities in one room. The kitchen is next door and it's big. There's a patio right outside the kitchen, and an open area that's covered and has fans. It looks out on a big courtyard and walking area. There's one wing that's independent, but it has a waiting list. The kitchen staff is very good. They serve meals like in a restaurant and you order off of the menu. The lady that is in charge of the kitchen prepares my meals and sometimes she'll tell me when I order that I can't have that. So, I think they're very good. One of the things that I noticed is that they know everybody's name and they call them by name. There are at least two activities going on at the same time. We have Bible study once a week and a church come in and does a service. We play Rubik's cube and bridge, and they put puzzles together. At least once a week they'll do something like cooking. They have a technology class at least once a week if you need to know something about your phone or something. They have bingo every other day and movies every other day. You will always have some staff that are not as good as others, but overall, they're good.

I visited The Glen at Lake Oconee Village assisted living for my father. It had updated amenities, it was clean, pristine, and comfortable to be in. The person who accommodated me was fantastic and knew her stuff. They have a very wide variety of activities and amenities there. I would go there and live there myself if I had to.

The Glen at Lake Oconee Village was a very nice community. I had no problems with this community. The staff was helpful and showed me around. The rooms were beautiful, brand new, nice, and clean. They look like they have plenty of activities.

The Glen at Lake Oconee Village was exceptional. It's very nice and upkept. The staff was very friendly. There're lots and lots of activities and amenities and such. The rooms were an OK size. I wouldn't say spacious, but not cramped either. It was just the right size. You have to walk a pretty good distance around depending on where you live, but it's all centered around like the important things, so that's good. With regards to food, it seemed like they had really great options. They had a pretty large menu of food that's available every day.

I went to The Glen at Lake Oconee Village. The staff was very friendly and very informative. It was a very clean place and very well kept. They had a courtyard, a little arts and crafts room, and an exercise place. It's convenient to my home.

We moved into The Glen at Lake Oconee Village. The facility is only about four or five years old. It's clean and neat. I got about 300 square feet, and they promised me a larger room in two or three months. The staff is fantastic. The food is pretty good. They got five or six activities per day, they involve games, concerts, and we go out for a walk in the morning and in the afternoon. They got an outside area, a walking area, the back is fenced in, and it has cement pathways. They've been very accommodating with food. The staff members have been very helpful. It's very expensive, but you get what you pay for.

The Glen at Lake Oconee Village was brand new, beautiful, and fantastic. Anything else that I looked at doesn't compare to it. The staff was very helpful, friendly, answered all my questions, introduced me to other staff, encouraged coming back, and was very responsive. The menu looked good. They had games, dominos, cards, puzzles, art projects, exercise, reading groups, church services, and shopping excursions.

We loved The Glen at Lake Oconee Village and the people are unbelievable. It is a lovely, brand new, and extraordinarily well-maintained facility, but the most impressive thing about it is the quality of professionalism and care of the staff. John and Jamie in particular walked us through all kind of options and have exhibited incredible patience in helping us work through this with my parents, including multiple visits and conversations. They have just been outstanding. They have a great and terrific location and it's next to all kinds of amenities including doctors' offices, grocery stores, and drug stores. You can walk from the facility to those places if you're able, so the location is beautiful. The grounds are very new, so it's still being built out, but it's very nice. The one thing that could help them would be to become more visible to the community because my parents didn't even know they existed.
