The rooms at PruittHealth of Fairburn were bigger and cleaner with newer furnishings. It was also quiet. The hallways were not cluttered with wheelchairs or hoist lift. It was very well maintained. We saw physical therapy, and we're quite impressed. We're still interested in getting my dad over to this place. PruittHealth of Fairburn was more controlled as far as the people. They're more controlled rather than having people screaming all the time, which is done at the other facility. It seemed like they have their patients under control. We saw the physical therapy room, which was awesome. It had more machines than any other place I had ever seen as far as balancing and other machines for stroke victims. They also had a greater turn-around for stroke victims. The staff members were very kind and concerned about my father. They just couldn't do anything because there was no bed. They were very caring.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! They will not get proper care. The place is full of people who put a nice face on for family visitors, but all they want is your insurance money. Dad was there for 3 weeks recovering from a hip fracture, he also has Parkinson's and dementia. They had his medication schedule messed up for two solid weeks, which prevented him from being able to get effective PT. We complained continually about the importance of his med schedule. After two weeks of poor results in PT, he finally got on his medication schedule. They then released him 10-days later because Medicare wouldn't approve our appeal!!! While OT is supposed to get him taking care of activities of daily living, he never once used the toilet there. They wanted him to use the restroom in his adult diaper for 3 solid weeks! Some rehab. We are so disappointed and FURIOUS over this Medicare mill!
