We're impressed with Willow Ridge. It's a small-sized facility. They've got medically trained staff and nice rooms. There were trees around there, lots of windows to look outside, and it's a very peaceful location. The director was very friendly, answered all of our questions, available, and was easily reached at any time. A lot of the activities are just now kind of building back up after being shut down for Covid. They didn't have a lot going, but I know there was a group coming in to do Christmas caroling this past week.

My mother is going to Willow Ridge. We live in a small community and there are not a lot of choices, but this was very highly rated, and it's a small place. They only have 22 residents, so it would be a personal care home, and we like the atmosphere, we like the staff, and the director. They're highly qualified and personable people. They enjoy what they do. They love their residents and they take care of them, and it's a beautiful place. I looked at the menu, but we didn't sample a meal. They offer full course meals, a full breakfast, lunch, and then dinner in the evening, and it would be a variety of things that you would normally eat for all those meals. It's homecooked type meals, casseroles, like roast beef, vegetables, breakfast would be bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, and waffles. Lunch would be soups and sandwiches, squash casseroles, all kinds of vegetables. We met the director and she's highly qualified and very motivated in her job. It is considered a personal care home, which is smaller than assisted living. They are very close in nature, but they're not gonna offer heavy medical-type assistance. They do transportation to appointments, and they have people on-staff if there's an issue. They help with pharmacy dispensing, they help with meds, housecleaning, and all of that, but if the resident goes beyond that and needs more, they're not able to do that.
