I am a family member of a resident on the Alzheimer's unit and I can't express enough of the difference I see in my dad and how happy he is on the unit.I want to applaud the activities director on the unit Teresa she is so wonderful,loving and caring with my father and the other residents.Every time I visits she is engaging in activities with the residents and they are smiling and laughing and enjoy the activity that is taking place.She remarkable. I have had my father in other facilities, but never witnessed such a outgoing activities director full.of love for the residents.She truly deserves a medal.

Allison Care Center was the worst place. I would never put a family member there ever again. It was dirty and awful. They didn't dress my father. They put him in different shoes. He kept leaving the facility, and I would label it as dangerous. 50% of the staff was good and 50% of the staff didn't care. He was there for about three months. He wanted to leave every day. His food had to be mechanically ground, and they kept forgetting about that, so he was choking on his food.

Allison Care Center is a very nice and clean nursing home. They're always remodeling and updating and that's a plus for me. It looks like they have all the amenities that you would want for your parents. Regarding my father's care, they seem to meet all the requirements. I also think that they have a good ratio of staff to patients. In their dementia unit, they have just hired a new activities director especially for that unit which is a plus to me. I also spoke to the administrator. She was upfront in saying that if my dad's aggressive issues weren't contained, he wouldn't be able to stay there either even if they do have an opening at that time. At that moment, I was taken aback a little by that, but knowing what I know now, I think I appreciate that honesty.

The care of my father (94) has been good. I wish there were more aides at night so when he gets lonely he would have someone to talk with
