Charter Oak was very good. I looked at it and thought that it would be a very nice place, but it didn’t fit my sister’s needs. I wound up putting her in a home for people with dementia. She was there for a month, but it didn’t fit her needs. The care was sufficient, but she needed a different kind of care, and they were not staffed to do that. They had staff for the six people who were all ambulatory to a good degree, but my sister was unable to walk and needed a lot more care. The food was good, but it was not what she needed. She is a dialysis patient and needs a special diet, which they couldn’t really conform to; it's not their fault.
