Willow Springs Alzheimer's Special Care Center is a very good facility but very expensive. My husband has been there for two weeks. I've been there when he's eating and the food is very good, they serve them like in a restaurant. He's got a very good room, it's very clean and looks just like a home. The building itself is well-maintained, they have a family room, a TV room, and activity areas. The people seem very happy. They have outdoor and garden projects, they entertain them in another room where they can read and do puzzles, and they have a TV room. They have some transportation, like if they had to go to the hospital or something like that. Otherwise, people come into them for things like blood draws, and a nurse is there. But they don't have transportation to go to stores or things like that. Sometimes people go there like they had a car show and people went there so that they can look at the different cars and things like that. There's an area where they go out and they have a hummingbird feeder and they have places for them to sit out like a patio. The activities director told me that this summer they're going to try to see if they can plant flowers and vegetables, but it's not something that they do all the time. It's just a summer activity.

The experience during my tour at Willow Springs Alzheimers Special Care Center was good. The staff was great and very friendly. Their rooms are very nice, it's a clean and large community. It looked like a large hotel inside. Everything about the place was nice, very pleasant and upscale lots of help. It's in a good location in town. It's very much worth checking in to, the people are nice and the staff, it's a really nice place. It's more expensive than what we're expecting, but if you have the extra money it's great. It's a lot nicer than the place we chose.

My uncle is now at Willow Springs. It is good, clean and caring. They have water on-hand at all times. The staff members are wonderful people. The food is very good and the dining area is always so peaceful. They either got TV or music on, which is nice to hear. The residents are all happy. Cleanliness is excellent. They have a beautiful place that we can go outside, which is nice. They have activities. They do games, they sing, they do nail day for the ladies, they shave and clean the men up, and they have hair day. It is expensive though.

The decision to entrust a loved one's care is a very difficult and emotional choice. I knew that I could no longer take care of my wife, but still the decision was difficult. When I finally reached out for help I happened to check out Willow Springs and I am so glad I did. The staff has been exceptional with their care and attention to my wife. As she progresses through the stages of Alzheimer's they understand what she is going through and, as a consequence what I am going through as well. Alzheimer's is not a one person disease; it affects everyone in the family. At Willow Springs I have found additional family members (the staff) that help my wife and I go through this. I do not believe there is a better care facility in Redding, CA. The rooms are cleaned on a regular basis, my interaction with the staff has always been absolutely positive. The residents are given many choices for activities; music (live performers, music played on a regular basis), craft activities, i.e. art, flower arranging and many others. In short, Willow Springs is a first rate care facility with first rate staff.

Went to see my grandma today and was pleased to see all the staff in great moods. There’s a new nurse there Dominick that was fantastic and was running and helping everyone. Very happy to see them hiring nurses that care. The staff even seemed in better moods than normal. Grandmas room was clean and presentable as well. Huge change in atmosphere since my last visit

Willow Springs is specifically a memory care unit. We visited on a weekend, and it felt tired, even though the building didn’t seem old or rundown. It was a fairly new facility but, in general, it had a heavy feeling about it. I think they had a lot of residents who were further along in dementia and Alzheimer’s, so that impacted the feeling. It had a basic dining area with fairly nice furniture. It was not a huge facility so it wasn’t a very big room, but it was adequate. The weekend staff seemed fairly well trained. There weren't amenities because it was strictly memory care.

Willow Springs is an Alzheimer’s place with a good staff. The food was adequate; you can’t give the residents too much because they don’t eat a whole lot, but it was good, nutritious food. They gave out the medications. No matter what they’re doing, the staff was really on top of things and nice. They get involved with the music, and the people were singing the songs. It’s a good place, I think.

They do not only take Alzheimer's patients at Willow Springs Alzheimer's Special care. They also take all kinds of dementia and older people who need assisted living. My impression of it was very high. It was my first choice for my parents, but they did not have rooms available. The staff was better than any other place. My only complaint was they only had double rooms available.

My mom was at Willow Springs Alzheimer's Care Center for nine months. During that time, she received high quality care from all members of the staff with 100% of her needs met. In addition, the staff worked closely with me and my brother to ensure her quality of life was the best it could be considering her disease.

My wife, Dolores, was a patient at Willow springs for a period of a little over three months. Unfortunately, the disease, Alzheimer's, took its toll on her. I cannot emphasize enough on the wonderful care she received while at Willow Springs. She was given very excellent care with the most important ingredient, dignity. I cannot begin to thank everyone that gave her complete understanding and comfort. In the last three days of her life, Willow Springs, went out of their way to make sure that our every need was met. Even after my wife passed away, they made sure she had clean clothes on, combed her hair, and put a little make-up on before they allowed her to be taken away for burial. I have the utmost respect and honor for Willow Springs and those who work and care for their patients. I would also like to add a great, big thanks to Willow Springs.

Caregivers were very professional. The facility was very well-maintained and the food was excellent. When you walk into the facility you feel comfortable and welcome. There is a lot of loving and caring inside the facility. Its senior staff and management team run it with a firm and teaching hand.
