I visited Fountain Square of Lompoc and toured their memory care. The tour was good and the person giving the tour was fantastic. It was very informative and she made me comfortable talking about any issues. The other staff members who were there were pleasant, too. I checked out some of the rooms, it was an old building but they were nice. The single rooms, which are the private rooms, are a little bigger than the companion rooms. I'm not too keen on companion ones but all the rooms were nice. People had them decorated, and they had their stuff from home there too. It gives the person a sense of ownership. It's not like losing a home, it's like they're going into their own home as well, if that makes sense. Throughout the whole thing, I think the private room is what I like the most. The halls are decorated very nicely. They have events going on for the people that are there, too, so it looks fun. The facility is also clean.

We liked the Fountain Square of Lompoc. The staff was nice and the facility looked really nice. They were very good, very accommodating. It seemed like they really were helpful. It looked like they did a really good job wanting to take care of the residents.

The people we met at Fountain Square of Lompoc were really nice and caring. The dining room was nice and the grounds were good. They looked like they were in the middle of fixing it up, but it was still OK. The memory care rooms were a good size. They were doing some type of memory game with their activities director when we were there. The person who gave us the tour was knowledgeable.

Fountain Square of Lompoc was very, very nice. The staff members were lovely people. I was hoping for a private room, and I think the only thing they have available is a shared room at this time. So it's okay, and that's going to work out.
