I didn’t feel comfortable with JBM Residence Home. When we visited the place, the TV was so loud that I could barely talk to the lady that was there because it was so loud. The people didn’t have anything to do except a small side yard to go out and sit in. Private homes are not a good option unless you have to use that option. I asked the staff that entertained us what meals they had and she was very vague. She said they would ask the residents what they want and then that is what we prepare for them. I thought that is not too good for people with memory care because they need to have a balanced meal. They only have one staff member caring for the people there, about 5 of them, 24 hours a day.

The administrator and staff are very accommodating. They take their time preparing the patients' meals. There are many amenities including private bedrooms and a nice backyard. The facility is clean and inviting. The furniture is tasteful and comfortable. There aren't very many activities that the patients can do on their free time, however. The administrator's permits, awards and certificates are displayed near the front door. During the summer, the facility has the air conditioner running constantly in order to maintain a comfortable, cool temperature for the residents. The staff is very hospitable. They were available to the residents during my visit. They cleared the table for the residents to eat at the table, instead of bringing their food to their rooms all the time. This makes this elderly care home very "homey" and comfortable.
