We were very fortunate to have chosen the Garden View Inn for my mother. She has been there several years, and we continue to be impressed with the compassionate, polite and attentive staff. The owner and her husband have a genuine affection for the residents and are always concerned about doing what is in the best interests of the residents. They have made many physical modifications to the bedroom to help my mother access what she needs. Staff have been very alert to health changes and always keep us informed of any that they see. The residents enjoy meals at the homelike dining room table, TV in one of the common areas, and a quieter common area for puzzles and knitting. Views from the GVI are very pretty rolling hills and oaks. My mother likes to walk on the outdoor ramp and down to the beautiful shaded patio area where she delights in sitting and watching the animals. With the Covid-19 lockdown requirement, the owner has been very helpful with setting up video-chats and sending photos. We are also very impressed with the safety measures the Garden View Inn has implemented during this very difficult time.

When I toured with a company that specializes in showing people the different facilities they said the caregivers were the best in the area. Talking to the employees they had all been with the facility for a number of years 2-11 years. The menu was wonderful and we loved the owners. We placed my mother in the upstairs portion of the Garden View Inn and she is able to sit around the kitchen table and talk with the other residents and staff in the kitchen cooking. She loved the tenderness of everyone involved and walked around the grounds and pool area. They have a new petting zoo and they allow dogs for the residents to enjoy.

You will not find kinder, more compassionate and caring staff and owner than here. I had a very difficult time trying to find the right place to admit my husband who has end-stage brain cancer. Not only is the setting of Garden View Inn beautiful, and the house large and clean, but it truly feels like "home." They actually seem to celebrate life, at whatever stage the resident may be. I couldn't be more pleased.

What I saw at Garden View Inn led me to believe that just about everybody was in advanced dementia or Alzheimer’s and really didn’t know what was going on. One lady was very nice; she was a patient and told me that it’s a very nice place to live and they take good care of you. The building was a two-story, very big house with, I believe, three bedrooms on each floor, but the bedrooms were quite small. When I visited, somebody had moved out and somebody else was coming in, so the staff was doing a thorough cleaning, and everything looked really nice. The drawback there was the shared bathroom. I don’t like that. There were two people to a bedroom, which is fine when it's a husband and wife, but I wouldn’t want to live with anybody else. We met the owner who said that he did all of the cooking and the dishes. They seemed to really care for their patients.
