"My grandmother is a resident at this Board and Care currently, and I could not say enough about them. The administrator Vilbert and his staff are very caring people. My family has piece of mind knowing that my grandmother is in good hands and in safe and clean environment with great food always. Another plus about this place is that the administrator/owners are nurses and are able to monitor my grandmother health condition and report anything new to her physicians if needed. I really recommend this place to people who care where they place their loved one at. My grandmother was transferred from a nursing home to this board and care and we see a big difference in her mood. She always has a smile on her face now because the staff are very nice and they have fun activities everyday. "

"Be Happy Be Home is probably the best thing that has happened to us this year. We were searching for a place that provided Respite Care for my 90 year old father who has vision issues and dementia. Lily's home checked all of our boxes. We were deeply impressed on our initial visit as the home was very clean and the air and atmosphere was fresh and inviting. Each room we visited boosted our confidence that we had finally found the right place. Each room we saw had connecting bathrooms which is very convenient for resident and staff. Each caregiver there was very patient with my father during his three week stay especially Mel who has such pride in keeping the residents clean and well fed. If you are looking for a safe, clean, affordable and comfortable environment for a loved one, I highly recommend Lily's Be Happy Be Home. Lily is such a caring individual and it showed in every one of our in person and phone conversations. We were very comfortable taking a break knowing our father was being taken care of with competence and respect."

Heart to Heart Health Care is a Congregate type facility. Which is a small private sub-acute facility. At this facility we have 12 Beds total. Types of patients that would qualify for this type of facility would be: respiratory patients. These patients must have tracheostomy (A tube inserted in the neck or be on ventilator.) "There are several reasons why we chose to move Mom to Gardens at Northridge, but primarily, it's because of the location and level of care. The facility is nice and clean. It smells fresh and they have polite staff. The caregivers are very nice and very good, and we are happy so far. They have a library, a living room, an activities room, a movie room, a workout room, and an outdoor patio."

"I went here. It felt very uplifting there and energetic. It was a positive energy that I felt. I liked it a lot. I looked at some rooms, and I believe all the floor plans were the same for assisted living and memory care, and they were very nice rooms. There was little traffic noise, but my mom would probably mind that. I like it because they had tables out the front where you could visit, and with the Coronavirus, we won't even have to go inside. They had some benches and tables and you could be outside with a mask and wave hello. You can just pull right over and visit outside with a mask on."

"When you first see the Belmont Village in Encino, California, it looks very clean and welcoming from the outside. There is guest parking outside of the building, metered parking on the street and garage parking for staff and 2 hour parking spots. In order to get into the garage you have to have the access code. As for the building, no one can get in before 8 am, unless you are an employee. However, they also have a doorbell for planned visitors to get access. The common areas for the senior citizens are clean and comfortable for socializing. They have a restaurant that services three meals a day. The food is okay. I think it could come out hotter though from my experience of eating there. They do have holiday events which are done in a buffet-style format and my friend enjoys them. They also have a lot of musical concerts in the evenings for the residents. The overall staff is nice and courteous. Some of their caregivers (pals), could use a refresher course on how to handle clothes in the laundry rooms though. When they don't put the number of the senior's room on the washer and dryers, some clothes go unaccounted for. I find that irresponsible. Although, it seems that the best caregivers work during the day and are more proactive with me as a visitor and the senior's clothes. The cooking staff are nice. My friend likes some people in management because she can go in their office and express her needs. They have plenty of activity rooms and always list the activities for the day in both elevators and on each floor. They have a nurses station that is always crowded since everyone desires to get their medicine at the same time. I do see that some of the nurses get frustrated by some residence actions, which baffles me, because they are working in an assisted living facility. It does come with the job. However, they do their job, but it can take time to get papers faxed to doctors when requested. They have a good transportation department who takes the seniors out for appointments and outdoor recreation, which I hear from my friend. They also have a friendly receptionist at the desk as well. As far as maintenance, my friend likes her maintenance man. Personally, I believe they could work on getting more maintenance help since so many dryers in the laundry rooms go broken for a while. That can be frustrating when I'm helping out with my friend's laundry. Overall, I gave them a 4 because my friend who lives there likes the place and I believe that's what really matters at the end of the day. "

"I visited the assisted living place of Ambassador Garden in Reseda. It's behind the post office, and I drove around for 20 minutes trying to find that place. It's a much larger place than the other ones I visited. The person who gave me the tour was the owner. She's had it for 35 years or maybe more, and she was very personable and funny. I found the place and got in and went to the reception desk, and they said the owner was coming. I had to park on the street, and I had money in the parking meter. That was the thing with that place. The woman at the desk said, I can park out there in the yellow zone. The lady owner came, she thanked me for waiting, and we went into her office, and I looked around a little bit. She showed me a couple of rooms that were kind of under construction. They were in the facility, but they were being refurbished and upgraded, so I didn't get a really good feel for how they would be. They were a little larger than those cracker box rooms that I saw in the other facility, but I wasn't impressed. We went back, and she sat in her office, and she said to tell her about the place that my friend is currently in, so I did. The place my friend was in had a point system for add-on things, like laundry was 10 points, and assisting from the bedroom down to the dining room was like 30 points. So I asked her what the laundry would be in her facility, and she said it's included. I asked about escorting residents to the dining room, and she said that was also included, and we just laughed about that. She was very nice. When I entered the entryway, off to that was a large lounge area, and that's all I saw. Out in the back, I could see people moving around. It looked nice from the street, but it's behind the post office, with lots of traffic, and also lots of trash. I would have paid somebody just to keep the street clean in front of that place because it did not look very inviting."

"This place has been such a blessing for our family. It's always clean and peaceful, which helps create a calm environment. My grandma's room is tidy and comfortable, just the way she likes it. The food is fresh and well-prepared. She enjoys her meals and always mentions how nice everything tastes. The staff here really make the difference. They’re not only professional, but also kind and friendly. They treat my grandmother with patience and warmth, which means the world to us. "My wife has moved into AvantGarde Senior Living. They're very nice and they have a memory area. They have programs going on, there's sufficient staff there to help everybody, and they have entertainment and activities there. The place smells good, and the food is decent. They had a rabbi who had service there on Friday, and they had a band that entertained the residents after that. The holiday party was nice. It's closer for me, it's very nice, and also less money."

"I toured Porter Ranch Garden for my father. It was okay but the location seemed kind of run down. They seemed clean, but it was a pretty beaten-up house. They seemed engaging and the person that gave me the tour was very informative. The rooms were okay and pretty basic. They weren't great and the cost was higher than what I said we could afford. She told me four thousand and that was a no. I saw the room and the living space area in the backyard. The living room was okay. In the backyard, there was a patio, and it was kind of rundown. The cost seemed high for the place and needed an upgrade or of keeping things up to date."
