"My dad moved into The Brennity at Daphne. The very first thing I noticed about it was that it's a pleasant and safe location. It has a very nice topology around it with trees. Number two, the first person we met, Jan, was a very good representative. She listened to us and understood where we were coming from. She provided all the details that we needed to make a decision and gave us a tour. The place is very clean. It's newer than the other facility. What really helped us was when we got to my dad's prospective apartment, it was well lit and had a beautiful view out the back, where he could look at a nice view of nature. The director who's over all the med techs, Wanda, is efficient, and she has a lot of attention to detail. I've been working with her almost on an every-other-day basis, just ensuring that my dad's meds and his physicians are set up correctly. I've met almost all the med techs. Every one of them is very sharp, good people. It was a very short timeline, and I needed to get my dad moved from Troy, Illinois, down here. So, they were able to expedite the process and help us get him transitioned in very quickly. I just had one meal there with my dad. The main entree was salmon. It was a bit high in sodium content for me. It's cafeteria food. It's not like going to a white tablecloth restaurant. So, that's just the food, but the service there was a five because everybody was super attentive to us. They have assisted living, and right next to it, they have the memory care. It looks like it's on about maybe 20 acres or so. There is a lot of nature around it. It's a two-story facility, so they have accommodations on the first and second floors. They have a fitness center. My dad, even though he's 92, goes up to the fitness center. He rides the bike up there, but the equipment needs to be updated. It's a little bit outdated. I have a past experience with my in-laws at a facility out of state, for which we paid much more. And it was not anywhere close to what The Brennity is doing. So, I am pleased with the amount that I have to pay for my dad."

"I just recently visited Country Place Senior Living of Fairhope to visit a friend. I was very impressed. My friend had moved there six months ago and was surprised yesterday by the visit. It's very nice. It felt more like it would be a home with bedrooms than a big facility with all these little apartments. It felt more like a home because it's only 24 units there. It's all just on one floor and very easy to get around from one place to the other inside the facility. They don't have to go very far for their meals, and they don't have to go off for the recreation. My friend said they keep her plate full with stuff to do. She doesn't do half of it because she doesn't have the energy (she's 96 years old), but she said she does take part in some of the things they do. I saw the calendar, and it's full with stuff. When we were there visiting her, two times somebody came in to check on her. 'Is everything OK? Do you need anything? And, oh, by the way, a piano player is coming at 11. We have a special visitor at 11:30.' My friend said, 'But I have my first special visitors with me now.' They had a piano player singing songs and everything when we were leaving. It's very clean. The person checked us and made sure we wore a mask. When we said who we were going to see, they knew right off that, 'Oh, yes, that's my sweetie.' My friend said it is like one big family there. It's very nice. She has a small unit, but it is set up where she can really move around in it. She has a wheelchair, and it looks like she can move around in it pretty easily. They come and clean, and they make her beds. She doesn't have to do any kind of housework or anything in there."

"My mother moved into Seabrook Pointe two. The room is fantastic. It's perfect. The staff is excellent. I saw a sheet of written down activities in my mother's room. The facility is excellent. Everyone there was wonderful."

"The Brennity at Fairhope was very welcoming. They had people at the door, and I started to talk with people the minute I stepped in. The person who is in charge is the person who came and picked me up because I don't drive. Unfortunately, the person who would take me to places was at his other job that day, so they came and got me, and it was wonderful. It was just wonderful. The dining area was gorgeous. It was just like going to a restaurant. It was all set up with menus on the table. I didn't stay for a meal, I had already eaten, but I do have an invitation to go back and try the meals if I want. They gave me a menu to look at, so that was good. The meals looked good. I have to say the place is very clean and very cozy. I'm 72, and when I was growing up, I had several relatives in nursing homes, and this is nothing like that. This is like a home away from home where you have your own little apartment, and then you can mingle with people. They have activities, so I am looking forward to it. I just received an electric wheelchair, so I will be able to buzz all over the place in it. It's all hardwood floors. The units I looked at were beautiful. They've just done some remodeling and repainting. It's like going into a brand new place."

"We toured Country Place Senior Living of Foley. The tour was good and the facility was great. The main issue that they had was that they were set up as studio apartments, and not as a one-bedroom like a separate bedroom with a living area, so that's why we're going to look at a one-bedroom apartment instead. It seemed like it was well-run or managed. It was a nice clean facility. There wasn't anything bad other than they're just set up as a studio apartment. The staff was extremely friendly and nice. The facility is in a good location. It's close to shopping, restaurants, and medical facilities. They have a nice community room and a nice patio area. The kitchen seems nice, you can order breakfast specific to what you want. It's kind of a smaller place which my in-laws liked. It's got a nice kind of family atmosphere."
