"We really like Pinnacle Springs for independent living. They're a great group of people where my mom is. It is just that she needs more care. They're very concerned about each other, and they are always looking after my mom because they know she hasn't been well. They're willing to bring her meals if she needs that. It's very well kept. It's very nice and clean. I know they have a lot of activities there. My mom is in a little different situation, but they have everything there. The facility is beautiful. It reminds me of being on a cruise, almost. It's very light, bright, and open. All the staff are very nice and friendly. I've been there so much, so they know me, too. It is a long building, and everything is in the center. My mom likes where she is when she moved in because she picked that apartment. She likes being able to sit out on our little patio and all that, but now with her health deteriorating, it's a long walk for her, so she doesn't always get out of her apartment as much as she used to. Up until about six months ago, she walked all over everywhere in there. She is getting an electric wheelchair, and I think that will help her a lot. So, that's going to be the determining factor. If that solves the issue right now, then we'll stay put, but if her health keeps deteriorating and she just can't manage, then that will be the time that she'll need to be moved to another facility. However, she likes it there, and she has friends there. It's just a really nice place. I would highly recommend it. When you are making huge meals, the food is not gourmet, but it is very good. They have lots of alternatives and a salad bar. If you don't like their main things, you can always get sandwiches, hamburgers, or things like that. So, the food is decent. We're very happy with it, and we like it. They're very kind, considerate, and caring. Somebody is always cleaning something when I'm there. It's only a couple of years old, but there aren't really any signs of wear that I can see. That community is very active. I think their activities are good. If you're bored there, it's your own fault. They have a movie theater, and they show movies They have the Olympics going on in the big theater. They have a little room next to the dining area where they have happy hour on Fridays and people can bring in their own little adult beverages and things like that. They're a little more expensive than some places that we've looked at. But they're also newer and everything is included. My mom doesn't pay extra for anything there."

"Grand Brook Memory Care of Rogers at Pinnacle Hills was very nice and clean. It looks like a good place for memory care for my dad. I think they will be able to take care of him. Everybody seemed well qualified to do what they were doing and the rooms they provide were more than adequate. It's a premium facility."

"My mom is staying here. It's an independent living facility, but they have an in-home care facility within the community. It's bright and doesn't seem as dark and dingy as some of them that feel like a hospital. The staff members were very caring and very helpful. The food has been very good and adequate. It seems more like an apartment. They have lots of activities for the seniors."

"We chose Countryside Assisted Living for my mom. They did all they could to make space available so that we could put her in memory care. It's a very lovely place. As soon as I went in, I felt very comforted that the employees and residents seemed to be happy and going about their day, which wasn't the same atmosphere where she moved from. Right off the bat, everyone did whatever they could to help and reassured me that Mom didn't need to go to a nursing home, and that they could take care of her even through hospice. They've done everything they could to make us feel comfortable. And it's really obvious, especially on the memory care side, that she's well cared for. All their employees just seem loving and caring, whereas I have witnessed other places have a lot of frustrated employees. So, whatever they're doing to train each other or how they're selecting their caregivers is wonderful. My mom is enjoying her food, but I haven't experienced it. Memory care doesn't do as many activities as assisted living. It's just trying to take care of them and keep everybody peaceful. I'm very satisfied and relieved even though I can't be there all the time. Where she was previously, I was constantly getting phone calls and there were constant problems and I was always worried about her. And I didn't realize after we placed Mom here how much more relaxed I am that she's being cared for in a proper humane way which hasn't necessarily happened in the past."

"We found Brighton Ridge for my dad. We have been happy with the care. The location and entryway are good, but the part where my dad is in is old, not very updated, and not very bright or cheery. They have games and entertainment. My dad is in a small, shared room, but at the moment, he doesn’t have a roommate. I talked to some of the people in charge, and they seem helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate, and are willing to work with and accomodate families. We had some requests that they have followed through on. They have been really good about that. "

"I toured The Bungalows at Fayetteville. The woman who assisted me was extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. I could tell that she cared by how she interacted with some of the residents that we spoke with. The rooms were very nice. They have daily activities. The facility was well kept. It was very clean."

"As weak and frail as I was when I admitted to Edgewood in May 2023, , I found the energy from the staff to be therapeutic. I had a great orientation so I knew what to expect and that relieved some of my anxiety The staff were all on the same page with getting me up and about. Great team work! I pushed myself while enjoying the fun personalities. A day didn’t go by that I didn’t compliment my caregivers. Tracie, Derek & Connor were the Admin I interfaced with & I sincerely expressed my compliments to the staff. . Bedside caregivers get an A+. They were organized, anticipated patient needs ( Dan) and didn’t waste time. The rooms were plenty big with windows. Housekeeping came daily and taught me about Marshallese, while dusting, mopping (Yaqua) and the aids really tried to get me to the dining room or bingo. I enjoyed a real shower & good scrubbing, and had a great haircut in the beauty salon. PT really are the best despite my grumbles. Heather & Joe made therapy fun & challenging with their games and devices; OT/Speech are more than their titles. We spoke about food & swallowing. My only complaint was the spicy gravy on the biscuit, day after day. I used to vote. On what I might get. But the rest of the meals were very good . The atmosphere is happy by design and that made my days easier. Thank you guys. "

"My grandmother was here for a hip fracture she was very well taken care. I have had several family friends that have been at this facility and they have all been treated well. The therapy team is amazing! The star guide that you see through state doesn't tell you anything about the staff and care here. They have changed the administrator and several staff and that has been an improvement. If you have questions about their stars (like I did) you can ask the administrator or their admissions girl. They were very open and explained why such a low star. They both gave me their phone number just in case I had any other questions or concerns. "

"We have been very, very satisfied with this facility. The best part is that the residents themselves are very actiively involved in the running of the community life. They volunteer in many areas: recycling, gardening, library, community, ............ They also are actively involved with the decisions of the facility and how it is run: they have a voice. The only "heads-up" that I would give is that it is independent living to health care (nursing home). There is no in between of having full time live in help. Personally, that would have been a better option for us due to our situation -- but that was a situation we didn't foresee when we were picking a place in the beginning. "

"My stepmom was at Windcrest Health and Rehab for two months. It was for long-term care. It was very clean and very well run. The people were very friendly. The only drawback was, my stepmom had to have a roommate. For some people that doesn't matter, but for my stepmom, she did not like it. There was no choice in that though. They had activities every day and they worked with my stepmother as well as one can with dementia. The administrative people were very good and very helpful. They had a common area there. They had a lovely garden area that they would take them out to, once a day. My stepmom especially liked it because she liked being outside. The staff was awesome."
