"My mother is a resident of Village on the Park Rogers, and we think it's wonderful. She's in a cottage that's 1,600 square feet, she can bring all her furniture and everything with her. So she's got her own little place, she has two meals provided, she has a housekeeper, a gardener, and all that included. So she's loving it. They don't really have activities planned for independent living. They offer food services. Right now the food isn't that great -- I just complained about it a couple of days ago -- but that's maybe a temporary thing. Their facilities are beautiful."

"I was in Innisfree for a year and a half. I thought it was very nice except their food service was terrible. They couldn't keep a decent cook and ones they had didn't know how to cook. However, I loved my apartment there. It was a cottage. It was very private and very nice. I liked the staff. They had one thief among them and they finally got rid of her, for the most part, they were excellent. I was an active 82. I walked, I ran, I do things and everybody there were too old for me even though they were younger than I was. They couldn't go out of their tracks. They were all running around with their walkers and the just sat around batting balloons and I wasn't interested in those sort of things. I had to move out because it became more expensive. "

"I didn't eat at Peachtree Village of Farmington but the dining room was a utility dining room. They could move the chairs and tables out of the way for crafts. The little cottages were the most expensive and they were independent living. You were expected to eat in the dining room. The staff members were knowledgeable. We were kind of taken as a group for orientation and they were good with their answers. They were patient. It just seemed that they wanted to get done with the job of orienting us and that they had other things to do, but they took their time. They explained very well. They answered questions before we asked them. I imagine that from their experience, they said to themselves, "A lot of people ask about that. So let's mention that in the orientation speech." They are a smaller operation. They had a very nice parlor. The rooms were adequate. It was a good campus."

"I went to Pinnacle Groves. I liked the style of the rooms. The kitchens were excellent. I thought I would be able to get the amount of storage available in the kitchen and the closets. They don't have extra storage. So, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get all of my furniture and all the items I have in storage boxes into that apartment. The staff explained and showed things. He was willing to take me to multiple apartments to show me, describe the facility, and how to get around elevators, that kind of information. He was very helpful. The restroom that I went into was not in good condition. It was not as clean as it should have been."
