Mom chose Solterra At White Mountains because it felt more like an apartment building and it was homey. There weren't a lot of activities going on in the lobby, and she wanted that kind of quieter atmosphere. Her apartment has everything she needs except for a microwave. It's like a 2-bedroom but the other bedroom doesn't have a closet, so they refer to it as a 1-bedroom with a den. The whole layout is very spacious. The kitchen is big, it has a dining room, and it's 980 square feet. The staff is very, very caring and friendly. They are top-notch. Anything she needs like when there was a leak, they're there within half an hour. When she arrived, they made sure that the residents knew that there was somebody new coming in and they welcomed her. Several residents came up to her and introduced themselves. Everybody went out of their way to be just very welcoming and friendly. Mom did not get their meal plan, but she could always go down to the dining area and order what she wanted, and pay for it. She said the food is very good. One thing I liked about this community is they went to my mom's apartment and invited her to come to Oktoberfest. They had some music, German appetizers, beer or wine, and the staff was all dressed up. They made it very festive. They have a whole lot of activities daily too like bingo, bowling, massages, walking, dancing, outings, casinos, movies, and restaurants. They gave each resident a smartwatch, so they can track wherever they are. If they stay idle in one place for too long, the staff can go check on them. The residents can press it once and it gives them the time, the date, the temperature, and the battery life. If you hold it down for around 3 seconds, that sends a message that you need help. And they didn't charge us extra for that. I have not seen it in any of the other senior places that I looked at.

My husband and I were residents of Solterra Senior Living at White Mountains. It was assisted living for him. I had been taking care of him, and somebody would be coming to help us every day. He was in assisted living there, and I just paid a certain amount each month for me so that we could share an apartment and I could live there with him. They were wonderful. They're very friendly and it's very clean. The caregivers were outstanding, too. It was just a wonderful place. My husband was in hospice care towards the end in our apartment, and every day, the caregivers at the facility worked with the hospice people to keep him comfortable. I can't even explain it. They were wonderful in terms of keeping his dignity intact and caring about him. It was just extraordinary. We were in a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, but no stove. He didn't like the food there because he's used to my cooking and he didn't eat very well, so I started cooking for us. I managed without having a stove. It was a nice apartment, good-sized rooms, and always clean. They did housekeeping every week and laundry every week. When we were on shutdown for COVID, they delivered meals to our rooms because they closed the dining room. We got very friendly with the caregivers there. Both of us had diabetes, and they worked with us for us to be able to get a diabetes-friendly diet. But towards the end of his life, I didn't much care what he ate as long as he ate something, you know, because he just had no appetite. We became friendly, and they would sometimes just come in and sit with him and talk to him and if they found me upset or anything, they would come in and spend time with me. I can't even thank them enough for what they did. I didn't participate much in it because I didn't want to leave my husband alone. But they had a lot of activities that people enjoyed. Everybody that I met there was very friendly. The only thing we did have a little issue with was that they had a few different chefs when we were there. When we first moved in, the chef was outstanding. But then they had a series of people who weren't as talented, let's put it that way. But the food was nourishing, and it was good enough.

I'm in Solterra at White Mountains. They're very friendly and very caring. My apartment was very clean when I moved in. Everything was in order and it was freshly painted. I really liked it. The size is perfect. They have just about everything. They have a library, an exercise room, a dance floor, a piano, and musicians come in every now and then to play for entertainment. They encourage residents to make friends. They have very nice walkways if you have a dog, a salon, a beautiful dining room, and the food is excellent. The staff is willing to help with whatever you need.

Solterra At White Mountains is very nice and is a fairly new establishment. The grounds are very well-maintained. They have about anything you want like transportation. They have all kinds of things to do. The room I looked at was a nice 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with a nice living room and kitchen (it was around 1,100 square feet). The place is very clean and the way it is laid out is very accommodating.

This place is FANTASTIC! My mother has been there for two years now, and loves it. She has advanced Parkinsons, and the care she gets from the assisted living side is wonderful. Everyone is SO caring. I have to say the entire staff is exceptional; the dining hall staff, the room maintenance and laundry people, the nurse, the hairdressers, the hands-on caregivers, the drivers, the event coordinators... and the many I have not listed. You can be sure you or your parent will love it here; I have not met one single person either on the independent side or the assisted living side, who is not happy living here! Go visit this lovely home and talk to everyone, especially the residents. You will be glad you did!

Everything is great at Solterra At White Mountains. The facilities are wonderful. The staff is very helpful. We actually met with one of the directors of the community, and she was very helpful with the information. The facilities are beautiful. The eating facility and health care are wonderful. They offer assisted living and memory care facility. There are plenty of activities both onsite and offsite. They provide transportation for offsite activities. We were not able to try the food, but the people that we talked to all liked it. They have single-living accommodations, studio apartments, and they have where you have a roommate. They have all different levels of housing. That’s the most they have though, either single or you have one roommate, so it is more intimate that way. They only do assisted living and memory care, so anything more than that, they don’t provide. But it is a really beautiful facility. As far as cost, I thought they were very comparable to everything else that we were able to talk to. I thought their prices were more reasonable. We were impressed with it. My mother-in-law even said she herself would live there.

Solterra was more expensive, and it was lovely. Their apartments were a little larger and maybe a little more luxurious, but they were very nice. They had a gymnasium there, they serve meals at a cost, and they did have cleaning facilities once a week for a price. As far as appearance is concerned, it is a five. We have people here who used to live there, and they said it was very nice, but it was just too expensive.

We have an elderly family who lives at Solterra now. It became difficult for family to go to her home to make sure she was taken care of and had everything she needed. She was beginning to have a harder time getting around, so she needed someone to help her with shopping and chores.Solterra is a nice facility, and offers one- and two-bedroom apartments that have everything you could want in a home but smaller, including a kitchen. Residents can choose how much to let the staff help them or not, which gives residents the freedom to be as independent as they like. They offer meals to the residents for free or extremely affordable rates. We ate with our relative on one occasion in their dining room, and although the service can be slow at times, the food was quite good!Since our family member moved in, she has become more active and social with other people, and it shows when we visit her. She has new stories to tell and things going on that she didn't used to when she lived at home alone. They have parties and events from time to time, and hold religious services for those who can't get out as easily. There is even an in-house beauty parlor! They also offer to arrange transportation for doctors visits, and make weekly trips to local shopping (although I'm sure if the need arose, they'd take someone to the store other times as well). The staff has always been very friendly to us and to our relative every time we visit (and we have been by many times). They seem to keep check of who comes and goes, and they remember the family connections. They seem to take good care of the property, and everything looks so clean in the communal areas and hallways. Whenever there is an issue, they take care of it in a timely manner, and they have good plans for evacuation in case of disaster. They check on the residents daily, just to see how they're doing. It gives us great peace of mind to know that if her heat goes out in winter, someone is on it immediately, or if something happens, someone will be there to know right away.

This is a nice 3 story facility with 141 apartments. The building and grounds are well maintained. They have lots of trees, greenery and mountain views. The one bedroom assisted living have partial kitchens. They are handicapped equipped and have a call system. Utilities and basic cable is included. They have balconies. They offer housekeeping and linen service. They serve three restaurant style meals and snacks with daily specials in their dining room. The food is very good. They have several common sitting areas, a library and activity room. It is a nicely decorated decor. They do indepent, assisted, and memory care. They have a registered nurse and 2 LPNs there about 15 hours a day and on call. All caregivers are certified. They transport to doctor appointments for an extra fee. The staff seems caring and friendly. They do all sorts of daily activities including an exercise program, bingo, entertainment, parties, cookouts, and holiday celebrations. They go out on picnics and to the lake in the summer. They go to Walmart shopping on Wednesday and out to other community events. They have a courtyard for walking and sitting. This is a very nice community facility,
