"We have selected Carrollton Manor for my uncle. They have two different sections. There's a nursing home side and assisted living side. My uncle is actually on the assisted living side, which is called Autumn Square. Everything that we've seen so far has been nice, and we approved all of it. It's a nice place to be. The room looks like a hospital room, but yet they have it where you can personalize it for yourself with any of your home furnishings. You can bring in any pictures or things and personalize the room. The staff have been really nice, and they're taking good care of him. If I don't go over there, I call them to see how he's doing. They're always glad to answer any questions that I have. When I do go there, they're all friendly and willing to help in any way they can. I have not tried the food. I did see his meal one day and it looked good, too. It was a balanced meal, but I haven't tried it. He says it's good because we've asked him."

"My grandmother has moved here. The biggest reason we chose it was that this one allows pets. It's clean, and the staff is nice. Everything here has been perfect so far. They have different activities every day. They watch movies, they play bingo, they play giant bowling, they do adult little color sheets, and they have bible study and exercise class. They have pretty much two activities each day, Monday through Friday. So far, everyone that we have dealt with has been nice and helpful. I haven't eaten the food, but she likes it, and they have a lot of different choices."

"When I visit my aunt at the Golden Livings Center in Oxford, Alabama, the experience is unusual. When I enter the building, it was chaos. The aroma isn't the most pleasant and I've also noticed the rooms are very small. Especially for a double occupancy. Her living area consist of her bed,a small dresser and a t.v. The staff is very well mannered, ensuring that the residents are well taken care of, as well as answering any questions and concerns that the family of residents may have. The staff also ensures the safety of the residents they serve. When someone sits on the bed and stands up, an alarm monitor alerts the staff that they may need to check on the resident to ensure they don't fall down while getting out of their bed. The residents are also required to wear a bracelet with an alarm to alert the staff if the resident leaves the building. All together, I know my aunt is being taken care of. That gives my family and I peace of mind, knowing that she is being cared for. "

"NHC Place located in Anniston, AL is a beautiful facility. Owned by National HealthCare in Murfreesboro, TN it is an Assisted Living Facility. Families can find comfort in seeing their loved ones in a secure enviornment. It has activities and games so the residents can meet and have friends. The food is delicious and a dietian will assist your family to make sure their loved ones are getting the nutrition they need. The Certified Nurses Assistants make sure the residents needs are met they assist the residents with whatever needs they may have whether it be needing help to take a bath or just assistance with getting dressed. There is a laundry room where the residents can wash their clothes. Housekeeping will assist the residents with their daily cleaning of their rooms. The rooms have a kitchen so they can have snacks in a frig. and space to accomodate any food items they need. There is an RN on staff and an LPN to make sure residents get their medicine on time. There is a van to take the residents where they may need to go, shopping trips are scheduled daily. This facility is inspected yearly by the State and meets all guidelines. The decor of this facillity and the care are excellent. "

"I visited a friend at NHC Healthcare, Anniston. I liked that it was very clean, and my friend looked like she was being taken care of. The staff was very, very friendly. The food looked great. It was big portions and it was fried chicken that we had and it just looked very appealing. It was all on one floor, so everything was easy to get to. The nurse's office was in the middle and then all the rooms were just around so that they could see all the rooms. They had Bible studies, they had a workout room, and they had bingo. It was just very clean and very organized. It had a very nice atmosphere."

"This nursing home has a very friendly staff. They seem to treat each patient with care and respect. They maintain a clean facility. The employees there are aware when there is a medical concern that is more than they can handle in house. I have two relatives that are currently in this facility and they are both having a good experience at this nursing home. "

"My dad has been in Lafayette Extended Care. He is under quarantine for the past two weeks, so I haven't been able to actually see it. I am not allowed inside; everybody is quarantined. I just spoke to the people on the phone. Currently, he has a private room, but they also have shared rooms. I probably received about three to four calls from the staff so far, so that's twice a week. They have been friendly to my knowledge, and my dad seems to think so too. I have spoken with him many times. It's hard for him because he's quarantined. Other than that, he hasn't had many complaints. They have some outdoor spaces and a little courtyard area. It's a one-story building. The staff has been very helpful. It looks like a pretty nice facility."
