When I visit my aunt at the Golden Livings Center in Oxford, Alabama, the experience is unusual. When I enter the building, it was chaos. The aroma isn't the most pleasant and I've also noticed the rooms are very small. Especially for a double occupancy. Her living area consist of her bed,a small dresser and a t.v. The staff is very well mannered, ensuring that the residents are well taken care of, as well as answering any questions and concerns that the family of residents may have. The staff also ensures the safety of the residents they serve. When someone sits on the bed and stands up, an alarm monitor alerts the staff that they may need to check on the resident to ensure they don't fall down while getting out of their bed. The residents are also required to wear a bracelet with an alarm to alert the staff if the resident leaves the building. All together, I know my aunt is being taken care of. That gives my family and I peace of mind, knowing that she is being cared for.
