The grounds of this facility are very simple. I think more outdoor space and time for the residents would be beneficial. While working at a Mental Health Center, I took several trips to this Nursing home to encourage the adult group therapy consumers to encourage befriend those in the nursing home. The group greatly enjoyed this. I was impressed with the coordinating staff to allow our group to visit, make crafts, sing and enjoy the company of the residents at this facility. The residents enjoyed our visits very much. I was also impressed with the activities coordinator. She did a great deal of musical and muscular movements with the residents as well as crafts and games. This seemed to be like a great time the residents enjoyed. Staff was very friendly and when asked about their stay most residents, although some sad because they have few visitors, had nothing negative to say about the home.

My wife went to PruittHealth - Franklin for rehab. It was a typical nursing home setting. I didn't like the rehab folks being amongst the permanent residents; that was not a good experience for my wife. I'm just not a big fan of nursing homes. It's an old building. They kept it clean, but it's an institutional-type setting. It was kind of a depressing setting. They had a big turnover in staff. Some of them were genuinely concerned and took care of her, but they didn't give her a bath on a regular basis. The doctor came in and instructed them on what to do. They didn't follow through on his instructions, but they were pleasant folks.
