My father is at Goodwater Healthcare Center. They're very attentive and they pay very close attention to the people there. He has only been there a week and I haven't come across anybody who was hateful or mean at all. They always seem very cheery, very helpful, and very sweet. For a diabetic, they don't pay close attention to that part. They gave him a cupcake with a lot of sugar on it. Of course, I threw that out because his sugar is extremely high, but I think that was just an oversight. His room is a little outdated. They keep it very clean. They have a common area, and they have a little aviary bird area that is encased in plexiglass, so they get to see birds. There's a TV, a couch, and a couple of chairs, and it's always clean. The only problem I had was the communication part. When I'm there, they communicate just fine. My stepmother and stepsister are the only ones that have permission to have a code to get in the building and I have to knock every time or ring a bell for someone to let me in. I don't like the fact that they have to ask their permission for me to see my own father. I don't like that, but that's the only thing so far.
