"Everything is well taken care of from food, health, personal needs (manicures, laudnry, hair salon, etc.) It's like family and I am the mom. I love to help them if I can or possible. I would highly recommend. "

"The Huntingdon was a wonderful place. It didn't take us long to find out that there were no openings, so we didn't go too far into it. It's an old grand hotel that they made out, so everything was so nice and clean. The person we talked to was very good and very nice. They showed us the pool, their own garden, and there were people sitting, watching television. It's a very nice and beautiful place."

"We were very impressed with Baldwin House Assisted Living when we visited. We spoke to some of the residents and they were all very happy. They welcomed us with open arms. "

"I liked Westminster Village. The physical therapist was on duty 8 hours a day, and there's a hairdresser right there in the building. The biggest thing that I liked about it was that they do not put anybody out. Once you lived there, it was like progressing. If you were physically or mentally disabled, they would move you to a different wing. They would give you constant care if you needed and your prices do not go out or down. Once you signed in on a certain amount of rent, that's it for the rest of your life. It was beautiful. It was surrounded with trees and flowerbeds that were well taken care of. It was really nice. The layout of the building was beautiful. I looked at the cottages and the rooms, and they were both very nice. Everybody was just wonderful. They were just very friendly. "

"LiveOak Village was nice enough. I could see myself living there. The rooms were nice. It has nice floor plans. The staff and residents were pleasant. The grounds were well kept, and the apartments were, too. This place doesn't change the carpets very often. "

"Murray House is so caring and wonderful. The staff and residents make up a family. The staff truly cares and Murray House has more nurses than any other assisted living we looked at for my grandmother. My grandmother was there for 10 years and we never had any problems."

"Dauphin Way Senior Living had very large rooms. It's a very nice facility, very elegant, and it offered a lot. It looked like a fancy motel, and it had big columns. The staff was exceptional. They even came to the hospital for an evaluation of my mother to see if she would qualify for assisted living rather than nursing home. They were very helpful. The dining area was like a restaurant, which was really nice, and they had tablecloths and flowers on the tables. They also had Bingo, visitors come in and play music for them, and pastors come in. They had a place for puzzles and reading. The atmosphere was very peaceful."

"Knollwood Pointe was a small facility, but a lot of the residents were out in the halls. They were active, bright-eyed, and wanted to carry on conversations. Morale seemed high there with the residents and the staff. It's an excellent facility. I didn't see anything that needed improvement there. I was only there for 30 minutes or so but it was a very open, welcoming feeling facility."

"Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community was excellent. The staff that I met was very friendly, very nice, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it to anyone that asked me. They're very well kept, it's very clean, up to date, it's not out of style and it's in a very good location. I feel that it's very safe. I did not eat there, but I saw the other residents that were there eating, the food looked very good, smells good and the dining room was very clean. They have arts and crafts, they have Bible study, and they have exercise. They do different activities on different days, but they're scheduled out to keep the residents active."

"This assisted living is not a very well managed place. I know a person who has lived there and I visited on a few locations. The first thing you notice pulling up is that the location is not a wonderful spot. It is in a field along a very windy road. The outside is not kept up very well and does not look very welcoming. The staff is anything but good. They act great to your face but when it comes to care they are lacking. They do not seemed to be managed very well and seem to complain alot about the assisted living. Most of the patients have demensia so some of them are not aware of their surrondings and so not alot of complaints come from them.I would suggest not to put a loved one in this place. If you do you should stop by atleast two time a week to check on them and make sure they are treated well and clean. Also I was tould by a staff member that sometimes the bills are not payed ontime and the power, water or other services are turned off. Also the industrial coffee maker was confiscated after failed payment. Which once agian shows the lack in managment and or ownership. Be careful and keep your eyes open. "

"I went to Ashbury Manor. I thought it was wonderful. They offered so much. The people there were wonderful. The residents there were wonderful too. The rooms were great. The food looked really good. Everything looked nice. If I could have afforded it, that's where my mother would be. The rooms were shared rooms. They're a little small, but they do serve a purpose. You can put a twin size bed there. It was a beautiful facility. The grounds were wonderful. They were great. Everything looked good. They have something going on for the residents daily. They have activities going on daily. The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful. It was a really nice place."
