My dad is currently in an independent living community, and we hired in-home care from Sheila's Angels to see if that will keep him independent for a little bit longer. They've been extremely helpful, providing assistance with his daily activities and daily chores. The person they've assigned to my dad is very friendly, warm, kind, and patient. The communication has been really good. They call regularly to check on the person assigned to my dad. Any time there's a change in schedule or changes in staffing, they call and let me know. My dad is handicapped. He has cerebral palsy, so they provide assistance with bathing, household chores, possibly getting him in and out of the bed, or in and out of a chair. My dad is confined to a wheelchair. We're paying for twelve hours a week, so they come out three times a week. The aides are very friendly and patient. My dad likes to do things his way, so they've been very patient and very helpful with that.
