I am a current client of this provider

We are using Bridgeway. The caregivers are local, they are really attentive, and they come in when they need to come in, so everything so far is good. They get along with my mother and have been really attentive and helpful, so we are really pleased with them at this time.

My mother has home health right now, and Aiding Home Health was recommended by the nursing home. The care they are providing is excellent; I am satisfied. They have CNA, and a nurse comes periodically -- she was here today -- and they also have BPA visiting. There is a physical therapist and occupational therapist; she doesn’t need much about it, but they just stay in touch with you and the physical therapist most possibly.

I am a current client of this provider

They have a bit of problem getting someone to come in and refer us some time. My wife's condition is a little bit unusual. She's under a state CBA (Community Based Alternatives) program, and that might be a governing factor as well. She is totally disabled and on a ventilator. I have a regular caregiver from their agency that's with me 5 days a week and I was looking for someone to cover the weekends. She's been with us for over 5 years and she's very comfortable because she's with us that much time. She sees the situation for what it is and she had some previous experience working in a nursing home. We've been very fortunate that we've had this lady with us. My wife is already comfortable with her caregiver. She's an older lady and she's very much aware of my wife needs. We're very pleased. She's very well experienced and very well trained. We've been very satisfied with her. I feel very comfortable that I can leave for a few hours and know that she's in good hands. The agency did send out a couple of caregivers, but as soon as they see what the situation is they just don't feel at ease. It was a situation where I had gone through several younger caregivers and for whatever reason things just did not workout. I was just fortunate they happened to have this lady come in and we've been satisfied ever since. The fact that the caregiver has worked so well for us and Bridgeway has been helpful, I would recommend it.

My grandmother was using this home health service and she was receiving the utmost care. She was treated very kindly and friendly. They would walk with her through her home always being patient with her.

    Resident spouse of patient

My wife recently had knee replacement surgery and our health insurer would cover home care from Bridgeway. The home care person didn't call when promised. They were a day late coming to our residence. The person was only in our home a few minutes. She asked a few questions and took my wife's vital signs. She told my wife she was doing fine and left. We were promised home therapy and they never delivered. We cancelled their service and are now going to a therapy center located near our home and there will be a copay charge for each visit; at least we will be geting some results. We asked our doctor and he also told us he would not recommend Bridgeway.

    Provider Response

    Dear purrdog,

Bridgeway Healthcare came under new ownership January of this year. We have opened new offices in Fort Worth Texas. While registering with healthcare Web sites we came upon your comments from 2010. We are sorry to hear that you had any difficulties in dealing with the company when it was in Arlington.

Bridgeway Healthcare of Fort Worth is dedicated to providing the kind of personal care we would expect for our own loved ones. That includes returning phone calls promptly and arriving at appointed times as promised. We have focused on hiring seasoned caregivers who know proper attention takes time.

We hope you will try the new Bridgeway Healthcare. Please contact us sometime at your convenience. We would like to find out more about your experience with the old company.
