The caregivers from Senior Helpers were good. I was with them for two months. All I needed was for someone to come in to help me with some things in the home and to help me with the shower. We also did some emptying of areas in the house.

Senior Helpers were terrific. The key to Senior Helpers is finding the right match of senior and helper. My mom had one or two at first and then the third one was just somebody she clicked with. The woman was very helpful, upbeat, and my mom came to rely on her. She was of great help to my mother until mom could no longer live at home by herself. The caregivers were positive but the one that my mother didn’t particularly care for was they always spoke too loud as I guess they figured she has bad hearing, so they always kind of shout at her.

I am so happy with Senior Helpers and the work they do with my dad. The girls who come to help are very sweet and caring, and they have even taught me some better ideas and techniques for dealing with his dementia. Neither my sister nor I could get him to take a shower or eat or take his pills on a regular basis, and he was starting to become weak and withdrawn pretty quickly. They have not only been able to get him to gain some weight and stay clean (both him and the house), but the activities and interaction that the girls from Senior Helpers provide has really given him something to look forward to each day as well. Even though his dementia is still progressing, he is certainly healthier now. And there is no question that he's happier too. Thank you Senior Helpers!
