I see all these glowing reviews of hands on care. Not my experience. I was alone with a husband fighting death. I was not offered in a timely manner any medical aids. I had to supply my own gloves. There was no in home help so I had to hire outside help, I had to administer all meds myself and keep charts with times. I literally had to stay up 24/7. I had to call Hope asking for help or a visit. There was no conversation as to what to expect, what would be provided, how they could help. Then after death I call to ask for help from a grief counselor. I was told they were busy so a message was taken and they would call back. It’s been 2 weeks and I’m still waiting for a call. Seems they just want to accept patients for Medicare payments without providing help for patients. Nightmare!

Hope Hospice was fantastic in all areas. They supported Mom and focused entirely on her physical and emotional comfort. All of the staff communicated consistently and effectively with us and provided information and understanding at a very difficult time. We are so happy we chose Hope as Mom’s hospice provider. They helped her and us throughout this process. Their kindness helped Mom experience a storybook passing. We encourage you to use Hope Hospice, you will be happy you did in every respect.

This was the best thing for my mom. I picked Hope because of the super great ratings and reviews. Believe me, they are more than 5 stars. Super caring, nice, compassionate staff. They were so great to my mom, especially during her last days on earth. I have nothing but the best to say about this company and employees. They bring everything you need, always on time, communication is on point, and they really make sure the person being cared for is.

My husband was under the care of Hope Hospice since September until his passing in December. I cannot say enough about the level of care he received. His primary nurse, Jesse, aides, Karen and Kelli, and the massage therapist, Patti, were wonderful. The were prompt (let us know if they were delayed), professional, gentle, and compassionate. You never felt like they were rushed and just there to get their tasks done. They truly got to know us, made adjustment if needed, and showed a sense of humor when it was needed. Whenever we had questions or issues they promptly addressed them. When my husband passed, Jesse was there to help us. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Hope Hospice. I would highly recommend them to anyone that has a family member in need of palliative care.

I just want to say that every single staff member of Hope Hospice was amazing..from Sarah getting us set up, the nurses Myra, Todd, Pam and Jamie, the aide Kelli, Patti the massage therapist, and Aaron the chaplin. The care, compassion, and kindness they showed my mother, myself and my family and friends was very comforting during our difficult time. They were always available to answer any questions or addeess any concerns. Would give 10 stars if i could. Definitely recommend Hope Hospice

If I could give Hope Hospice 10 stars, I would. Hope provided care at home for my 86 yr old mother when she was diagnosed with cancer and did not want any treatment for it. 4 adult siblings and my father had the help of hospice to keep our promise to my mom that she would die at home. We felt our concerns were listened to by everyone. The nurses anticipated the needs of my mom as she declined, ordering medications (that were always delivered to the home), equipment, and oxygen so we didn't have to. On each visit, the nurses would sit with us and answer our questions honestly. Then they would go in and visit with my mom, even when she was no longer alert. Hope provided a lovely aide who came twice to bathe my mom in bed, change her sheets and visit with her. They even offered massage therapy! When we had a scary episode with my mom, we called hospice, got a call back quickly and a nurse came out to evaluate mom. I honestly don't know how we could have cared for my mom at home without their loving support. Pastor Aaron even came to my mom's funeral- and we had just been on service 1 week!! I highly recommend Hope Hospice to families looking for support in providing the best quality of life for your loved one in the time he/she has left. Thank you Hope Hospice!!

Hope Hospice did an excellent job of caring for my father in law. Not only in attending to him but in being positive and cheerful. He became very fond of his HOPE care givers. They were responsive whenever we needed extra help and kept us informed of their observations

Hope Hospice provided awesome care. I have already recommended them. They helped out with showering my mom. She was in the nursing home, but I felt better having the hospice there. They had a grief counselor who came, talked to me and reassured to support me. When my mom died, the lady came to my mom's funeral. They were just awesome. I was very happy with the care and the love that my mom received from the ladies. She was very comfortable with them. They were there to make sure she wasn't in pain. I was very upset and had to see my mom go, but I know she didn't suffer.

To the Hope Hospice Team, i would like to thank the entire team who looked after my dad in his final few days. From my initial meeting with Sara, to Nurse Myra who was there when we brought him home, to Nurse Jesse who cared for him in his last days, to Mary-the bereavement coordinator, the clinical aides and to Chaplain Danny, who saw my dad and was kind enough to conduct the funeral and gravesite services, the Team stayed in contact with me every step of the way while care for my dad. I could not have asked for anything more during this stressful time for me and my family. I highly recommend Hope Hospice.

Hope Hospice was with my grandma, Vera, for the last 2 months of her life. They were amazing! They treated my grandma as apart of their family and called me on a regular basis to update me on her. They were there for my family every step of the way... including after she passed. I would highly recommend them to anyone having to make this difficult decision.

When Mom's doctor called in hospice, the weight of the world seemed to fall off of my shoulders. All of the puzzle pieces fell into place. The team very quickly became like family. They each had a caring demeanor, and showered my mom with love and attention. My family and I were constantly educated about Mom's condition, allowing us to prepare for the days ahead. Mom's final months were spent at home thanks to Hope Hospice. The team surprised me time and time again by lifting Mom's spirits, even in her final days with us. They are a joy to work with. Quick response to any needs, MASSAGE AND MUSIC THERAPY!! They brought in a hospital bed, diapers and other supplies, which relieved us kids of worry. The doctor wanted us to use the hospice from the hospital, but our minds were quickly swayed first when we read the excellent reviews of Hope, but then again when we met with the nice representative. She was very informative and showed much more concern for my family and Mom than the hospital team. She explained that as a family, it is OUR CHOICE who to use. We challenged the doctor and came out on top! The term hospice was scary at first, but after meeting with little Miss. Sara, our nerves were calmed. Mom lived her last months on her terms, in her home! It doesn't get any better than that! Thank you everyone! Sorry its taken so long to submit a review! I promise you will never be forgotten! Special thanks to the care and love provided by Samantha, Patty, and Katlyn.

We are working with Hope Hospice for my dad. They have been wonderful. They have always been right there when I need them. The caregivers are extremely good and nice people. My dad has a catheter, so they change his catheter. They also make sure that he is doing OK. He is absolutely comfortable with the caregivers. They have been wonderful. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

My best friend was a client of Hope Hospice when her cancer treatments failed. Sarah came to her very rural home to describe how hospice works. Karen and her husband were immediately comfortable with Sarah and the difficult conversation was made more tolerable by her caring demeanor. The nurse assigned to Karen was Jesse, a perfect match for both her and her husband. Jesse (or the gentle giant as we nicknamed him) was so kind and caring, respectful and knowledgeable. He never rushed his visits and did everything within his power to make Karen more comfortable. He made arrangements for all medications and necessary equipment to be delivered right to their door. This simplified things a great deal. During each visit he patiently and thoroughly went through dosages/times for the massive amount of drugs intended to make Karen less miserable. Patty, the massage therapist, came to their home several times and genuinely became a friend. Even when Karen was in pain and unable to really enjoy a massage, Patty stayed and simply rubbed her back and chatted. The entire team was there to support those of us caring for Karen as well. The family and I will be forever grateful for their services.

Dear Hope Hospice Team, I am so thankful for the true care, love and compassion the team of Hope Hospice had given my Aunt Janie when she was diagnosed with terminal Ovarian cancer. My Aunt chose Hope Hospice as she wanted to spend the rest of her short time here on earth at home with family and friends. My Aunt had a strong faith in Christ and Hope Hospice's team of compassionate care, truly made a positive impact in her end of life care! Sarah B., Community Liaison with Hope Hospice, had visited with my Aunt the SAME DAY I called to inquire about their services. My Aunt loved all of the team members of Hope Hospice from Sarah, Amanda-Primary Nurse, Denise- Nurse, Mary- Bereavement Counselor, Kaitlin- Music therapist and of course Chaplain Aaron! There were other team members too and she loved them too and was so grateful for their help and compassion! Hope Hospice truly went above and beyond to ensure my Aunt was as comfortable as possible through pain management, but MOST OF ALL showing true love, care and compassion! My Aunt was always so kind to everyone, she cared more about others than herself. She was strong and courageous in Christ! Never did she cry or complain about her condition. She was such a blessing to others, always a ray of sunshine! I am forever grateful to the HOPE HOSPICE TEAM as they were always quick to communicate and respond to my Aunt and our familys' needs whether it was day or night! Our family loves and appreciates all of you! MAY GOD BLESS THE HOPE HOSPICE TEAM AND THE COMPASSIONATE WORK THEY DO EVERYDAY FOR OTHERS!!!

From our first contact with Sarah B. to everyone we spoke with on the phone and had the pleasure of interacting with on Mom’s behalf, to the last day of service we knew we made the right decision choosing Hope Hospice. You can’t buy caring…. That pretty much sums up how we feel about Hope Hospice. Hope was our extended family without the baggage, someone to lean on, to ask the hard questions and always get an honest answer. The before and after is hard to describe but I will try; Relief! The burden of being responsible for your mothers last days on earth is heavy. Worrying about her being alone, caring for her every need but not sure exactly what to do and when. Watching her get weaker and more forgetful her needs were quickly out pacing our ability to provide. The stress was palatable and our patience worn through. Do we keep her at home and seek full time care, or move her to an assisted living? Then we met the staff of Hope Hospice and it all looked much easier and less scary. In an instant we went from feeling overwhelmed with uncertainly and tired from sleepless nights, to having a whole family/team of professionals to help us care for Mom. And Mom loved each one of her caregivers, which is priceless. There were no expectations that the staff did not exceed. There are no words to thank them enough for their compassion, strength, and understanding.

I am taking the time to write and tell you how much we appreciate Hope Hospice’s services. As you are aware the decision to move from actively seeking treatment to hospice is a difficult decision. At the time my father made the decision he was receiving care at the St. Louis VA. They very promptly made a referral and hospice was started, with another company. My father’s condition at the time was not one of eminent death, he just was done spending more time in the hospital than at home. We supported this decision and thought hospice would offer the support and comfort to the family as well as my father. Well that was our hope. With the first hospice we were given a nurse for 20 minutes 2 times a week, a health aid for an hour two times a week (she was the only shining star in the group) and music therapy for an hour a week. Every time we asked for a little extra we were met with, “We don’t do that”. This was very confusing because several of our friends had experienced hospice with Hope and this was not what they told us we would be getting in hospice care. The straw came when I was going out of town and leaving my mom alone to care for my dad, we asked for a couple more hours of service just so someone would be there for at least 1 hour every day I was gone. Their reply was, “you have your son-in-law, don’t you.” That was it; we called Hope Hospice and asked if they could come out and talk to us about what they offered. They were out the next afternoon. The representative sat and listened to our needs and said she understood and with Hope it would not be an issue. So Hope called the VA the next day, took care of letting the other hospice know we were changing, and sent a nurse out to review my father’s care. The nurse was so compassionate, she sat and listened and again understood the concerns we had. She very gently offered to take over setting up my father’s medicine for the week. She did this in a way that made my mom feel like she was still a part of my dad’s care, but no longer had to worry about what if she made a mistake, because at that point my mom was tired and beginning to fray too. I was able to go on my trip and know that over the week there would be a massage therapist, a personal aid, a nurse, a music therapist, a chaplain and a housekeeper, yes a housekeeper, coming to give my mom the emotional support and physical support they both needed. My mom has been able to go out and get errands run, get her hair cut and even have her nails done since starting hospice. These outings giver my mom a chance to breathe and they give my dad the peace of mind that he is not burdening my mom. She is no longer embarrassed when visitors come over because her house is spotless, this may not mean a lot to most people, but to her this is a huge weight off her shoulders. Our time now is not spent “taking care” of my dad it is spent enjoying him. With Hope hospice my mom and my dad are both being cared for. I can work and know without a doubt that if my mom needs something and I can’t get there to do it, all she has to do is ask one of the many Hope employees that visit throughout the week and it will get done. In conclusion I cannot thank Hope Hospice enough. They are giving my family peace and dignity in my dad’s final days. This is what hospice should be.

Hope Hospice provided amazing care for my Mother during her extended & very difficult illness. Her usual RN & HHA were incredible women of caring, patience & empathy. Being a physician who has in the past worked with a large hospice group in CA, I came to believe that hospice workers are very special people - this was certainly true of everyone I meet at Hope. I felt much more comfortable knowing they were looking after my Mother when I was so far away. The staff of Hope Hospice provided excellent care for my Mother - my Family and I will be forever grateful.

from the first moment we spoke to the social worker who set things in motion, we knew we were in good hands. Professional, kind, intelligent, precise, honest, clear, gentle, wise. They all were all of those. As soon as my mother was accepted into care--and she was already in a wonderful nursing home-- things got better, more comfortable. A new mattress immediately, visits often by nurses and aids. The day of her death and the day before were made as easy as possible, too. I miss my mother greatly, as she was a woman of grace and class and my friend whom I saw 2,3 times a week. But I could not do what the hospice workers did, and I am grateful, we all are, for them.

From the moment my sister, mother, and I sat down with the representative from hope, we were blown away. If a friend hadn't recommended calling hope, we most likely wouldn't have been introduced to hospice all together. Dad's doctor wasn't incredibly knowledgeable on what exactly hospice was because he was not initially on board with enrollment of our father. The representative took the time to reach out to the doctor and fully explain what hospice was and why our dad was a candidate for it. We too were skeptical at first. It sounded too good to be true but hope hospice delivered far more than initially promised. Not only did they provide the services other hospices offer, they also provided massage and pet therapy. They took a load off of everyone and gave us confidence that dad was getting the best care available. The team was immediately welcomed into our hearts. There they will forever remain!

They deserve 50 stars! I cannot put into words how incredible the hospice team was to my father, but also to my family. There is no way that my mother would have been able to keep him in the comforts of their home without their support. I can testify that their slogan "our family caring for yours" is 100% true. We couldn't have asked for a better experience during dad's remaining days. I wish we would've known about these extraordinary services sooner!

I was very happy with Hope Hospice. What they did was fantastic. They had enough experience, and they knew how to handle my dad. I was appreciative of that. He was a little cranky, and the girls were very good with him. They were really prompt, and they called if they weren't able to make it. They were also very flexible.

Hope Hospice was referred to us by a friend who had used them. They were amazingly caring and compassionate. They were incredibly timely and quick to respond. They really just truly went above and beyond for my grandfather. It was a very difficiult time for me and my family. They made my father very comfortable and listened to his wishes. At the same time, they helped my family members accept what was happening and got us through a very difficult time. The caregivers were amazing. In everything they did, they ensured my grandfather would still feel dignified. They showed utmost professionalism. The caregivers were top-notch. Their massage therapist was amazing. Their social worker was great. I can't say enough about how good they were. It was truly a great experience.

I really like Hope Hospice. They're very passionate at what they do. They're patient and nice. Neela took care of my dad and mother-in-law. She's a sweetheart with a great personality. Hope Hospice always send the same caregiver. Other hospices would a lot of times switch caregivers. My friend's mom was able to get to know the caregiver and was able to create a bond together. The caregiver was really awesome. She's extremely helpful. It wasn't just a job for her. I think it was awesome that my friend was able to speak with the administrator. Having direct access to the top was just great.

My father was a patient with Hope Hospice for the last seven months of his life. The care and treatment that he received during this difficult time was very professional and all of the staff showed empathy towards my father. He had regular visits from the community liaison, nurse, massage therapist, and chaplain and personal care aide. It made this most difficult time a little less stressful. I highly recommend Hope to anyone whose family is member is in need of Hospice.
