I highly recommend Guardian Angel Hospice. They gave 24-hour in-home hospice care for my mother in law. They were there for two weeks. The care went very well. They had very understanding, very compassionate, and very helpful staff. They gave complete care. Every service that they were able to provide they did for her. I was very satisfied.

I am more than disappointed with this company. The support during my husbands final days came through but not without my phone calls. After my husband passed away I received not one phone call to find out if I was doing okay, or needed any help. I expected so much more from this kind of organization. Please ask many questions before hiring this company, and if you don't feel confident in there service, do not hire them!

I was very disappointed with the final hours of my father's life, not feeling supported by the hospice organization. Our family had a very difficult time during the night, coping with the unfamiliar that happens when a person is dying, the emotions of family members, and decision making on medicine to keep him comfortable, overall felt a lack of support. I thought we would get prompt attention, and did not. The nurse's aide that came out weekly was superb, she was the only 100% I would give this organization.

Guardian Angels Hospice in Rochester, MI would not be my top choice in terms of hospices in the Metro Detroit area. In my opinion, there are several others that would better suit a patient's needs during such a fragile time in a person's life. Guardian Angels has a very high staff turnover rate. This can be especially difficult for a family and patient working through the dying process. I have heard from several patients that it can be a challenge trying to get ahold of their nurses. They do not have full time staff, especially in some of the "extra" areas provided by hospices, such as music therapists, chaplains and social workers, so it is difficult to get an appointment with one. I think these extra disciplines make hospice a well-rounded experience. Overall I would not recommend Guardian Angels. I would give them a rating of 2/5 stars. I think that there are many better options for families.
