Our services can help you or a loved one maintain independence. Aegin Place of West Michigan will coordinate care and work with existing agencies, family members, caregivers, or trustees. We are able to provide anywhere from two hrs per day to 12 or more to a in home care situation, where the caregivers/companions live right in the home. Our caregivers/companions are trained to care for the elderly and vulnerable adults, and they provide assistance with some or all ADL (Activities of Daily Living), including: Mobility and Transferring Bathing Dressing Toileting Incontinence Feeding In addition to ADL services, we provide IADL services (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living). These daily activities are essential to maintaining a healthy and happy household for your loved one. These additional ADL services include: Light Housework Laundry Basic Hygiene Meal Preparation Grocery Shopping Getting Around Outside Transportation Medication Reminders Mission Statement: For many older adults, the greatest desire for them is to remain in their own homes as age advances. It is the desire of Aegin Place of West Michigan to provide this kind of care with at-home companions to help the elderly do just that. Our at-home caregivers can assist older adults in maintaining a self-sufficient status, but be there to assist with daily living and instrumental activities. By being able to provide this to the elderly in their homes, we are able to give them an alternative to assisting living centers, boarding centers, or nursing home placement.
