We have used Emily for a number of years. Harriott helped with both my father and mother. Emily is very responsive, concerned and focused on finding the right fit for my mother. During a difficult time I was pleased with the service provided.

I was disappointed with the follow-up of the on the caregiver we were assigned. I was given the impression when we decided to go with Emily agency that we would have more than one care giver to take care of our uncle. Harriett is a caring and did a good job to get us as a client, but when the caregiver, Sheila came to the home she was deceptive. I wanted two caregivers because my uncle was in the advanced stages of alzheimers and I understood how a caregiver can get burnt out. Sheila was the person were were given, although the care giver I had requested was another woman I met who seemed very caring and honest. Sheila was manipulative and did not return to work on more than three occasions. When I had to stay overnight because sheila decided to extend her weekend off, for as least the third time. we let her go. Sheila went back to Harriet and made up a big stories about her food she left and she needed extra pay. My uncle paid for all the food - we had receipts. sheila was very manipulative not Honest - she was manipulative -bottom line . We used emily service for less than one year, We paid 1000.00, upfront. I asked Harriet for a different caregiver on at least 3 occasions. Harriet backed up Sheila over her us.

I have had a caregiver through the Emily Agency for several months now and so far I am very pleased with their services. I am my mother's primary caregiver, however, work full-time during the day, so I needed someone I can trust to take care of my mother. I feel that this agency has caregivers you can trust to not only do the job, but provide a sense of companionship for my mom. I am very particular about who cares for my mom and expressed that to Harriet from the agency and I feel that she took my needs/concerns as well as my mom's into consideration when assigning caregivers for my mom. My mom has dementia and is very forgetful so the caregiver is great at reminding my mom when to take her medication, help prepare and serve meals, and assists with toileting needs. Thus far, this agency is reliable and I would recommend their services to others in need of elderly care.

The Emily Agency...Harriet....did an amazing job finding the right fit with care for my father. Harriet knows exactly how to help families during a difficult time. She also understands the dynamics of families and navigates them through the process. We used her agency for 1 year. Our family struggled with making a decision with whether the time was right for my father to receive in home care. Harriet was wonderful in educating our family not only on the aging process but also the process of home care. Harriet was patient, honest, and determined to meet our needs. The caregiver was highly trained and professional. She was on time, respectful, and flexible. I highly recommend the Emily Agency!

We have had a caregiver for my mother for over a year now and she is working out wonderfully. The only trouble we have is when she takes time off. She occasionally takes a planned vacation, which is fine, but when the Emily agency person Harriet is called to seek a temporary replacement, there always seem to be an issue and her customer service is horrible! In this line of business, I would assume that someone working for this company would have tons of compassion for the elderly, instead of just trying to blow off the family and blame the caregiver for wanting time off.

My mom is not walking anymore and needs high level of care. We have somebody from The Emily Agency to help her. So far it has been good. Their caregivers have been working for us about a month now. Not every caregiver we have is a good match for my mom, although we have two weekend ones that are wonderful. Overall I think it is a personality thing. It has been good so far although I'm kind of distressed of the high fee that I have to pay. I would still recommend this agency to others though.
