Oak Hill Place

My husband will move into Oak Hill Place. He liked it because, first, it was bright and airy. It was very clean. The staff we met there were all very friendly, and the rooms were very nice. You had a choice of a single studio and a one-bedroom with a little living area outside. They were all quite a good size. They all had big closets and nice bathrooms. He also offered services that he needed. They had an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and a speech therapist, all available there. Plus, they had medical services, like they could do an X-ray or a CAT scan at the facility. These were all things that were important to him because these are the services that he needs at this point. The staff who gave the tour was extremely friendly and answered all the questions, took us on a tour, let us speak to some of the residents, and introduced us to the occupational therapist and the physical therapist. It really got us well acquainted with the whole facility.

We toured Oak Hill Place. I thought that right off the bat you could tell that it was secure because they had a door that had an alarm on it. So I kind of like that personally. The people that worked there were extremely nice. They were friendly. The staff was good. The rooms, I thought, were very adequate. They were nice. They were roomy, especially for someone who's in a wheelchair. They had good accommodations for those.

We visited Oak Hill Place. We thought it was a very nice place. It was clean and the people were very friendly. They showed us some sample rooms and the lady we talked to was very knowledgeable. Overall, it just seemed like a nice place. They also had an area where you could mingle, just sit, and enjoy coffee and snacks.

My mother has been in Oak Hill Place for about a month now. The best thing I like about this place is the staff and the nurses. The whole staff there is just very pleasant. They keep us up on what's going on. It's great. They are great. There's nothing really that I don't like about them. The place is in good shape. It's easy to get around. They have a full-time maintenance guy, and he's right on things whenever they need to be. For activities, my mom plays bingo. My mom can't see very well, but they have someone to help her. They have different activities going outside, and walking around town, and they take them on little trips. They keep them busy if they want to participate.

I was very impressed with Oak Hill Place and I wish that we could have put my mother-in-law there. I think she would drive there and there's medical staff on-site, and I like that. The apartments were very nice and roomy. The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions; they were accommodating. We saw the dining room which was spacious, nice, and clean. I think they had a sunroom. I like the appearance of the facility, I was impressed. It was quiet and very spacious, she could have gotten around well.

Oak Hill Place looked like a wonderful place. They were having a birthday party for a woman who was 105 when we were there. The staff and the residents were all friendly. The rooms were real nice and decorated. It was a very nice place.
