We went to HomePlace Oak Harbor Memory Care. It was very nice. But I didn't think it was as nice as the other place. The atmosphere was not the same. At the other place, we watched as they were working with some of the individuals who were living there, and that's what really impressed us. However, we didn't get to see that in Oak Harbor, and we didn't get the same feeling. The rooms were very nice. The layout was good. Everything was well kept. The staff who gave the tour was very good. They're very friendly and very knowledgeable. The tour seemed a little bit rushed though.

We went to HomePlace Oak Harbor Memory Care. It was very nice. But I didn't think it was as nice as the other place. The atmosphere was not the same. HomePlace Oak Harbor Memory Care is a very nice facility. It would have been perfect for my mother-in-law, but it was just a little too far. But the facility was nice. All of the individuals that we met either leading us around or visiting with us were very appropriate. They were very good. They answered all our questions. We had a good experience visiting them. Even though we weren't able to talk with the residents, they were all doing activities, so it was good to see that. Some of them were in different rooms playing cards. The dining area is typical, but not like the setting of a nursing home, you did not get the feel of that. It was a nice dining room and appropriately spacious.
