Cosmetically, it looks and smells good. In the room the walls were bare. My Mother-in-law just had surgery on her hip and was placed here by her insurance company. She is sharp minded and fully aware. They claimed they were not understaffed, but the nurse clearly was running to keep up. It took them forever to respond to calls. The ice bag they provided broke in the middle of the night and she had to lay in a freezing cold bed for over an hour and the nurse said she was covering two hallways.. The food was not appropriate for a diabetic. She arrived after lunch and they had nothing appropriate for a diabetic to offer her and so they gave her ice cream and her blood sugar shot up and they blamed it on her. She was told it was sugar free but it was no sugar added and it made her sugar go up anyway. That night they did not bring her a meal and at 7 when the nurse finally showed up, they made her wait for another hour before the brought her cantaloupe and cottage cheese. They came in and said someone had ordered a haircut for her and at the end asked for payment. She had no idea it was a separate cost. They were slow to bring medications and gave them at the wrong times, ie. with breakfast when it was supposed to be on an empty stomach. Their visiting hours were 9-5 so if you had a job you were not allowed to visit. When we transferred her, her pain medication orders were not transferred with her and it was a big mess.

The rooms are bright and clean. The therapists are marvelous, working with the patient, as they are able. The nurses were compassionate, and the administrators were very helpful!

THIS PLACE ALMOST KILLED MY MOM! She had been complaining of chest pain early in the morning and they denied her to go to the er, they did a ekg on her and determined her heart was fine. But she picked up the phone a begged me to call the ambulance at 4am, so I decided to call for her and when she got to the hospital the doctor informed me that she didn’t have her catheter in (which he found odd, she had a massive stroke and had no feeling on her left side so she NEEDED a catheter) because of that her bladder filled up and was causing her kidneys to begin failing. If I wouldn’t of called the ambulance like she was requesting she would of died that day. Since then I have moved her to a better facility and the facility reported to me her condition coming in, she has skin problems because of lack of cleaning, her scalp had problems, and she was unbathed and unkept. My mom has diabetes and feet problems and her feet were not taken care of. To top it all off now my mom has no chance at ever walking again, because they didn’t do the proper exercises with her on her left side and now she has contractors on her ankle, knee, and hip, which means she will not be able to move those freely! PLEASE IF YOUR LOVED ONE IS IN THIS FACILITY GET THEM OUT RIGHT AWAY IF THEY HAVEN'T GONE PLEASE DON’T PUT THEM THERE IF YOU LOVE THEM AND WANT THEM TO HAVE QUALITY OF LIFE!! Especially right now, because of COVID the place doesn’t allow visitors so you can’t visit and see to it that they are being cared for.

My father is in Rocky Mountain Care - Hunter Hollow. The nursing staff is good. They're just understaffed. I don't think that everybody gets the care that they should have, but what care he gets is good when he gets it. They should make sure they have enough people to do their best, but everything is good. It's beautiful and smells good, and they keep it very clean. It's a newer facility with nice flooring, a general store, auctions, bingo, movie outings, Wal-Mart shopping outings, and bowling.

The staff is never available, and when you happen to find someone, they never have any answers to family’s questions. The front door is not locked or attended. We have come in at different times, day and night. Our mothers room is in need of paint. It has chips and holes in the walls. They don’t work with hospice or the families. For the cost of these rooms all patients should be receiving 5 star treatment. Very disappointed in the staff and facility.

Hunter Hollow is nice. Everything is wonderful, nice, clean, and smells good. The floor is nice and shiny. Everybody is nice and clean, and the staff is nice and professional. My mom loves it there and says the food is good and the coffee is excellent. They have a chapel and a hair salon, and it's set up really well.

Hunter Hollow Rehab Center was my first choice, but they would not take my husband because he has behavioral problems. The staff was very nice, and they showed me all around. It was a beautiful facility and new. It was more expensive than the other one -- about $2,000 more a month. Their dining area was beautiful. They do all kinds of activities for their residents. They take them on trips to see different sights, and they do different crafts and classes. They have a lot of activities there. The facility was not locked, but they do have someone at the door at all times.

We chose the Hunter Hollow. It looked and felt really clean and homey. They also incorporate families in their recreation and how they handle their recreation. They have ice cream socials twice a week, and I know that they have Bingo and a travel show where they show residents different places. The staff is very attentive as well. They were very thorough in showing us what was available and how much we could be involved in the care of our dad. They kept us in the loop; the communication was really good. The food is good for what it is. It’s made in mass quantities. It’s not always at the right temperature, though. Anytime he asks for something new, they are always accommodating to him. They have a CNA to help him, also.
