My father is at Sage now. This is the third facility he’s been in. Sage is representative that a large facility can do it right. Food is great and plenty of it. My dad was in a small residential home in cedar park and the small amounts of food was really bad. My dad is in the memory care part of Sage and this is the first time I can breathe easy. I feel like the caregivers really care about my dad. It’s clean and very sunny. I would highly recommend Sage Valley.

My father has moved into Sage Valley Senior Living. The staff is very friendly, and the place is very helpful. The facility is very clean. It's brand new. They had addressed every concern that we had for my father. They're very easy to work with. We like to place. We recommend it. We got a private room with a courtyard view. It has a window and a bathroom. They do all your laundry, and they do all the cleaning. The food is good. They have activities. They have several sitting areas to watch TV and do other things. They have puzzles, etc. They try to engage with the patients. And if you request that they check on them periodically for a few minutes, they're willing to oblige. The staff members are really good. They have a calendar full of activities. Most of that is for assisted living, but they will include my father in some of those. They have a movie theater.

We will be using Sage Valley Senior Living for respite care for my mother. When my mother and I first went in, there was a big welcome sign on the center table, which impressed us. It said, "Welcome to Sage Valley! We are so glad you are here!" That made us feel at home like we were special. They immediately greeted us, offered us some water, started taking us on the tour, and explained every room. There was a little exercise room, two respite rooms, and several courtyards that you can go out that had shade with a ceiling fan so you can keep cool. There were flowers and little fountains. There is a place where you can go get refreshments. There is a necklace or a button that you can access help for anything, including if you're hungry or you need a wheelchair because you don't feel like walking. You can push the button and they will come to help you, which is impressive. Outside of the respite area is a small library room, so she can have access to any books. Within less than 100 feet is a nice restaurant-style type of dining where they have a menu and a choice of items to pick out of it, maybe four or five different things for each of the three meals. They can get a snack and get something brought to their room. I met three different people and they were very friendly and caring and made us feel like we were family. My mother was so impressed with the tour that she even asked to see the permanent resident apartments. They had a model to walk in and it was very lovely. The windows also look out into the courtyard, so you have the flowers and fountain to look at. Plus, they allow a resident to have a small dog or cat in their apartment, too, which is lovely. There are several common areas throughout the hallways where they can sit. There's even a little room if it's your birthday or a special family celebration. You can reserve that with a large table. We reviewed the menu and I got to see what was for breakfast, and there were four or five different choices, including an omelet. I wanted to eat there. It was a lovely little restaurant and the tables were arranged where there was plenty of room for a wheelchair or a walker to get around. It's very roomy and nice. It was the only one that had no obligation for a minimum amount of time for respite. A lot of them even wanted a whole month and I'm not going to leave her for a month.
