My dad is in Ussery Roan Texas State Veterans Home. I like that it is newer and very clean. The food is good. So far, the staff has been very nice and accommodating. It is landscaped nicely. The front of it is modern with modern artworks and military logos. The staff members are very kind. They will either bring the food to the room or serve it in the main cafeteria. They have a barber, a beauty salon, a library, a business center, a community garden, and a rec room with all kinds of activities and stuff like that. They have a van to take the residents if they need to run errands or go to appointments.
