Lake Wylie is a quiet place with friendly and helpful people. The food is better than average; they have crunchy meatballs that I really like. There's a bunch of activities going on, like movies, Bible studies, and a lot of other things. My experience has been good, so far.

I like the location of Lake Wylie Senior Living. The location was nice. It's not modern and it's old. And they didn't indicate that I would be welcomed there. It was like a job to them. It was like, 'This is my job to show you around and I'm just going to show you enough,' and that's it. It wasn't like some of the other facilities that I visited where they wanted my loved one there. This place was just a tour of the facility, and that's it. The cleanliness seemed fine. The outside looked fine, but the inside looked so much older than it was. The inside didn't look as modern and upkept.

I'm living in Lake Wylie Senior Living. It's okay. However, they're slow getting your medication to you. They're slow, like an hour and a half later. I brought my own furniture, but we got a little dorm-size refrigerator, a little microwave, a sink, and that's it. Some of the staff are good and some are lousy. They provide three meals a day. There's nothing wrong with the building with regard to cleanliness. And they have bingo and things like that. Once a month, I think a guy comes and plays the piano and sings. As far as the entertainment goes, I think it's fair to say it's good.

Lake Wylie Senior Living was more homey for my mother-in-law. The people were more welcoming. The residents that were there were very friendly. It's an older building. It's a little less expensive because you're not paying for all the modern looks. They have activities and meals. There are three floors, and each floor has four caregivers, so if one of the patients needs something, they're right there. They have all the appliances. The staff member was fantastic. There wasn't a question that we asked her that she didn't answer. She was very upfront and helpful. Their activity room was kind of in disarray. They're doing some kind of Disney feature, so it was a wreck. If it didn't have the sign out front, you would think it was an apartment building.

I saw Lake Wylie Senior Living and at the time, they told me the shortest respite care they offer is 30 days and I was looking for something shorter than that. It was a very nice facility and people seemed to be very active as I went through both areas of assisted and memory and people seemed to be engaged. However, when I visited a room that they had opened, it was unoccupied at the time, I thought it was very dismal. I know that people don't stay there in that room during the day, but it was very small. It probably would only accommodate a single bed and maybe one piece of furniture and a chair. I was not impressed with the size. It was less than 10 x 10. The staff during the tour was very nice. She was new, so she had to get back to me with a couple of questions that I had posed although she was very accommodating and the intake person was very, very nice. I only was in contact with two people. When they got back to me and told me that it would be a 30-day minimum, I didn't pursue it any further.

Lake Wylie Senior Living was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it to anybody that cares about their loved one and wants to put them in a place that provides the best care. The marketing manager Drew and his sales staff were top-notch. They gave me a very thorough tour of this facility, explained all the features and benefits of their care and services, and I was so happy. I feel like this is the best move I could make for my loved one. I couldn't ask for a better option. It was beyond what I could have imagined, I was highly impressed. I liked all the activities that they offer, and the cleanliness of this place. They seem to be fully staffed. Everyone, all their residents that were there seemed very happy and content. I could see that walking through the facility. I could tell that the staff were very happy to be there, they love that company. You could see that they loved what they do. They have a passion for what they're doing. This particular facility has a lot of additional services specifically geared toward memory care that you will not get in other places.

The room I saw at Lake Wylie Senior Living was fine. However, mom wants a kitchenette because she still wants to be able to cook for herself, and the only thing they had that they considered a kitchenette was just a microwave, a mini fridge, and a sink, which was not what my mom would be looking for. Other than that, the staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were taken care of and everybody seemed happy.

I really like Lake Wylie. It would be my first choice. The staff there was just topnotch. The rooms they showed me were like a nice hotel. I was very impressed. My mother has MS and she's in a wheelchair, and that would add onto the base price. They have people come in and sing, church services, they take them shopping, and they have bingo. It was quiet, peaceful, everything was clean, and it smelled good. It was a great place. I told my husband that's where I want to go when I need to go into assisted living. I was extremely pleased with them.

Lake Wiley is a very nice place, clean, and comfortable, but again they did not accept Medicaid. I saw their room, and I felt that would really work, but it's just that they do not accept Medicaid. The staff were very nice and seemed to know what they were doing.

Lake Wylie was a pretty nice place. It was not top of the line, but I thought it was a nice enough facility wherein I would not mind my mom and dad living. They did provide things such as crafts and bingo and have people coming in to play the piano, cards, and games like that. It has been a couple of years since I was there, but I remember that the food was good. The rooms seemed to be nice enough.

The staff and rooms at Lake Wylie were very nice. They had a little sitting area outside as well as a TV room. Their dining area looked really pretty, like a restaurant.

I've been to Lake Wylie. It had really friendly staff, and the residents appeared to enjoy being there. The dining hall seemed very small, but the rooms had great layouts and were of decent sizes. They had all the different kinds of rooms, including studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms. It seemed to have a homey atmosphere.

Lake Wylie felt homey and friendly. Since I walked in the lobby, it had that nice feeling to it. It's not too big, and it only has 100 rooms. They have efficiency and two-bedroom. The one-bedroom apartments are not huge, like most places' are, but they are very nice, and they have a bedroom, a little kitchenette, and a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower. My mother-in-law happens to be in the corner, so she got the third window, which is very nice, and it looks over the woods, which is very pretty. They have transportation to shopping and to doctors' appointments. There's Wii bowling, field trips, trivia, exercise classes, and all three meals. We've eaten there, and the food is very good. Their dining room is very nice. It's one big, huge room with little sections divided off, so it's more intimate and homey.

Lake Wylie was nice. It was more like a community type of facility. It was clean and well kept. We had a tour there and the staff treated us well.
