"The Addison of Florence was very clean and well-kept. The amenities were great. Alicia, who assisted with the tour, was very professional, very friendly, and knowledgeable about everything. The staff communicated throughout the entire tour and greeted us. Everything was a plus with them. The structure was good. Everything was updated; the rooms, the flooring, the countertops, and the bathroom. The layout was good. My aunt loves to sit on her porch in her home, and they have a patio. Some rooms have access to their own patio."

"My mother-in-law moved to Carolinian last January. The staff is very nice and accommodating and take care of all her needs. She is well taken care of. They are very attentive and respect her privacy. She has a nice-sized studio apartment with a little balcony. The security is excellent. We are very pleased. For activities, they have bingo, different games,and trips out every Wednesday morning to shopping and doctors' appointments. "

"My sister was at Carriage House until December last year. She liked it there. They had worship services on Sunday mornings and somebody would come in to sing for the residents. They also take them to their doctors' appointments. She wasn't too fond of the food though. She's 81, but her mind is very good. "

"My mother moved into Pee Dee Gardens. It was as easy as it could be, because it's a great location. It's not even 20 miles from where Mom's house was, so there's a lot of traffic through there just going to Florence, the town where most of the people shop and the little town she lived in. She has one daughter six minutes away, another daughter about 20 minutes away, and another granddaughter which is three minutes away, so she's surrounded by help as needed. So that's worked well. I can't say enough about the people at Pee Dee Gardens there. Melody and the crowd have just been absolutely wonderful as far as the transition and making sure that Mom feels loved and feels at home, and they've just been just wonderful. I couldn't ask for better."

"We visited here. It was very nice and they were polite, and I liked the nurses. I even like the one where they lived on their own, but my grandma wasn't strong enough to live on her own. The rooms were big, they were nice, very neat, and more accommodating for the people who needed them. If my grandma had been there, it would have been more than enough space for her. They had a big dining area. If another one of my loved ones needed a place to stay or if I couldn't take care of them, I would most definitely recommend this place because it was awesome. They welcomed us like we were already family. I thought it was a beautiful place and I thought my grandma would have loved it. I was amazed. I didn't see leaks in the ceilings, I didn't see anything nasty that would have made me think that I didn't want her there."

"We visited The Florence Presbyterian Community but it was expensive. It's very nice, everything was beautiful. The facilities are beautiful and the activities were good, the cost was just too high. The rooms in the memory care were nice, they were gorgeous inside, and the landscaping was beautiful. They had a dining area where you could choose what you wanted. Their staff appeared to be OK."

"Methodist is a continuum care which is what we needed or wanted -- from independent living all the way through nursing home. We have a very small kitchen, a living room, bathroom, and a bedroom. My husband is currently in the assisted living part as he needed more care when he was out from the hospital. Eventually, he will come back to me and that’s the beauty of living in a place like this. The staff is excellent. We have our own chef here and we have excellent and well-prepared meals. We have a lot of different card groups and Bingo twice a week. We do wine and cheese tastings monthly. They like people to go to the noon meal for socialization, but you can go to any meal you want -- you get one meal a day. We have excellent servers and we order off a menu. We have 15 different entrees to choose from. They cleaned the apartment weekly, stripped the bed, made the bed, and washed the sheets. They take us to all doctor appointments, shopping, and they take us to the symphony. I think if they would have a swimming pool here for exercise that would help a lot of people, but I would absolutely recommend the community. "
