"It was very clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a good location. The layout was good. They had the memory care towards the back and it was a secure place and it was very clean. The staff back there when I went in was actually playing games with the residents. They interacted with them."

"My sister was at Carriage House until December last year. She liked it there. They had worship services on Sunday mornings and somebody would come in to sing for the residents. They also take them to their doctors' appointments. She wasn't too fond of the food though. She's 81, but her mind is very good. "

"I have been in and out of this facility as a guest to some of the residents for many years. I know that this isn't a perfect facility, as there isn't one anywhere but the staff has worked diligently to get my loved one on track so that they would be able to return home. I have enjoyed random visits and have always found my loved one in a clean, well maintained environment. I would recommend Honorage as they have proven numerous times that the care for their residents are the number one priority. Thank You all for your dedication."

"I was very impressed with Pee Dee Gardens and with Melody, the marketing gal who I spoke with. It's in a nice area, and it's two doors down from an urgent care center. It has a memory wing. It is small, so there were fewer strange faces for the residents to deal with. They have a unique payment structure. It's a flat fee. They don't do it by how many meds you take or how much service. I was very impressed with them and the facility. They have a podiatrist who comes in quarterly. They have a certified nurse that comes in weekly. They have all the regular shuttle service stuff and everything. I was very pleased with them. We basically went around assisted living. The only difference with memory care were the locks on the doors."

"It was a nice community. The staff were very professional and very personable. It was a very clean place. I looked at all the rooms. They have small sizes, medium sizes, and large sizes. They're very adequate for people that are going into assisted living. The common dining area is very upscale, very nice, and clean. I didn't taste the food, but I saw it. It was really good. The grounds were very clean. They have daily activities for the people. They have people that come out there and have gospel singing, and they do art classes just trying to keep them creative and engaged."

"We visited The Florence Presbyterian Community but it was expensive. It's very nice, everything was beautiful. The facilities are beautiful and the activities were good, the cost was just too high. The rooms in the memory care were nice, they were gorgeous inside, and the landscaping was beautiful. They had a dining area where you could choose what you wanted. Their staff appeared to be OK."

"Active Day Pee Dee has a warm and fuzzy atmosphere that provides top notch care for elderly individuals. I have had the pleasure to work with Tyra J. previously and her contributions to the community is outstanding. "My husband moved to The Manor. It was excellent. The staff has been very good. They've taken care of him and made sure that his needs are met. He's getting therapy there. They had different activities. They had a Mickey Mouse party the other day. They do crafts. They do have TV, and they're having a Christmas party for the residents and their families. The food looks very good. He eats it all."

"Oakhaven is very nice and they take very good care of my husband. The place is really old. The staff is very, very nice. He is in a small room with someone else. They have Bingo once a week and they take them out shopping every once in a while. "

"This is an older facility that was built into an even older hospital, which gives the center a safe, yet very sterile and slightly cold feeling. This is the best place for your loved ones if they need around the clock medical care, but if your loved ones aren't sick it's best to avoid Medford. The staff are usually friendly and helpful on the weekdays, but be warned that the weekend staff can be sketchy at times, and might leave some to wonder if their loved ones are being taken care of as well as they should be. "

"I currently have a family member at the facility. I have been to a number of facilities, and the staff and therepy team seem to really care. Ive noticed recently how the staff were vwry interactive during nursing home week. They celebrated the residents and that meant a lot to see. My family member really enjoyed himself, and this was the same person that didn't want to even go anywhere for therapy that he much needed. The soicial worker helped to get him settled qhile the head nurse made him also feel comfortable. No place is perfect but I like to give credit when its due, thank you allbfor all you do."

"My mom is staying in The Retreat at Carolina Bay. It's a wonderful place. They have a very loving and caring staff. She is very well taken care of. They have great food. She is getting the medical treatment she needs if she needs. It's a wonderful experience for us. Her room is very nice. She's in a studio, which is just what she needs it. It's a little small, but it's fine for her. They keep it clean, and they keep her clean. Their facility is beautiful, and it reminds them of a five-star hotel. They have a chef, and they get to pick their food and stuff like that. Of course, they look after their diets just like they need to look at certain things, but you couldn't ask for a better place. She has been there since May, and we are very pleased with it. I haven't had a chance to go and eat with her, but we went to a Mother's Day brunch where she went there, and their chef fixed that food and it was fantastic. It's just really top of the line. The dining area is very nice. They have things like bingo, they do seasonal-type things like crafts. My mother is very musical, and she plays the piano a lot. They sing and she plays. She has a great time. Occasionally they take them out to different places. They keep something for them all the time and they don't let them sit in their rooms and vegetate. It's very beautiful and very well maintained. They have a beauty salon. They have a movie room where they can go watch movies and they have popcorn and things like that. They have a room and there's a jigsaw puzzle on the table. There are some quiet areas like a library. I wouldn't call it a true library, but it just got that feel about it. Everything is provided as far as she needs. One good thing about where she is, it's right across the road from a nice hospital. It doesn't look like a nursing home, and it doesn't seem to feel like a nursing home. It's like a nice hotel, and the residents seem very happy and they get along great. My mom has a group of ladies that she sits and eats with every day. It's just neat. They're wonderful."
