We offer a full schedule of activities including Circle of Friends, chair exercise programs, manicures, games, puzzles, garden club, weekly walks, and a variety of outings throughout the month.

What places are near Heron Pointe or within walking distance for assisted living residents to enjoy?

Our community is located next door to Bi-Mart, Oregon State Credit Union, and a variety of restaurants.

What transportation services does Heron Pointe offer to assisted living residents?

Our assisted living residents are welcome to use our transportation for scheduled medical appointments or to attend scheduled activities. We have a wheelchair-accessible 14-passenger bus.

What safety features or security measures does Heron Pointe offer to assisted living residents?

All of our assisted living residents are provided with emergency alert pendants that also function as call lights for our care partners. The bathrooms in our assisted living apartments are fully accessible, and feature grab rails, handheld showerheads, and emergency pull cords. We also have guard rails lining all of our halls. Our main building is also locked after-hours to ensure resident safety.

If Heron Pointe accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?

We are absolutely pet-friendly! Leashed pets are welcomed anywhere on the grounds, and we are looking in to have an off-leash run installed soon.

What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?

Our staff receives monthly in-person training during our all-staff meetings, and also completes computer-based training courses throughout the year. Topics for these trainings include resident safety and the aging process. We ensure that all staff meets or exceeds the requirements for training set by the State of Oregon.

What places are nearby for independent living residents to enjoy?

Our community is located next door to Bi-Mart, Oregon State Credit Union, and a variety of restaurants. Further afield, Monmouth is home to a number of fabulous dining experiences, small shops, and local wineries. Next door, Independence offers a waterfront park with weekly events including a farmer's market, musical performances, and movie showings.

Independent living residents are welcome to use any common areas at our community including our resident library, television area, activity room, sitting area, community garden, and Coca Cola parlor.
