Some of the nurses at the beginning were very friendly and paid wonderful attention to my grandmother. Once her stay hit the week mark, the treatment began to deteriorate. After her stroke, the doctor ordered physical therapy to help strengthen her affected side. We found out that they had not been taking her, because she didn't feel like it (at least that's what we were told). She started getting bedsores from constantly lying in the same position. She was always soiled when we got there (we stayed and visited with her from beginning to end of visiting hours). After several hospital stays because of low potassium then high potassium, we signed her out of the hospital and brought her home.

I have been a resident at this facility for 4 years and found the care excellent . I hope all the nursing homes are able to keep their standards in lieu of this current governor's wanting to utterly destroy the nursing home industry.

I was shocked how there D.O.N treated their employees! I saw once where a supervisor was in tears after being called into the office because of a incident. While all the residents are outside his door overhearing him cussing and slamming objects an behaving like a animal. I found out later that it was a incident of the nurses child almost died, an they reported off in accordance ! When did nursing lose it's light?
