My sister in law lived at carriage inn for the last few weeks of her life. I can highly recommend the end of life care that she was given by the team of nurses, nurses aids, cleaing staff and doctor. She was always clean. Her room was always clean. There was no smell like most nursing homes have the moment you walk in the door or the room of residents. All that attended to her needs showed a great deal of compassion and knowledge. The food was okay (nothing to write home about) but they were always willing to change the menu and address foods concerns. I highly recommend this home for those that have short term needs. I don't have any interaction or experience with longer term care to comment.

My sister had moved into the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. It's a nursing home and it's very clean. The person running it and the one I talked to the most, her name is Kate, is very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very helpful. It is an older facility, but they've updated rooms, put new floors in, did some painting and stuff like that. It's an old building but it's still in very good shape. They have a beautician that comes in twice a week. They have entertainment when they can but Covid has got things shut down a little bit. They have a nice meeting room and an exercise room.
