"My grandfather was a resident at this facility for about a year and half. The first few months of his stay, I couldn't have been more pleased with the job the staff was doing. Everytime I would visit him, I would hear nothing but praise from him about the job they were doing. The nurses and other caregivers all seemed to like him a lot and they were very polite and helpful. Soon after that, the owners of the home, sold it to a new couple. Many of the nurses that worked there were fired or replaced due to the new management. In the following months, I noticed a drastic turn in my grandfathers feelings towards the staff. He did not believe that he received adequate care from them. When I would go visit and speak with them, they were very uninformed and did not seem to care much for their jobs. After a few months of escalating problems, we decided to remove him from the facility and care for him ourselves. I have since been back to visit other people that I know, and the conditions have improved. They went through another management and staff change. It now seems like it is a good facility, as it once was. "

"I was at Cumberland Healthcare Center for rehab. You're always going to get a few staff that are not excellent. But for the most part, they were good. The physical therapy was good, and the food was excellent. There were four people in 2 rooms, and all four had to share one bathroom. There was no shower. We were able to shower twice a week in the common shower area. They had the proverbial bingo, talent shows, and other pretty good activities."
