"My husband's aunt moved into The Blossoms at Van Buren Rehab & Nursing Center. It's small, but I guess that's normal. It's clean. She has everything she needs. The food is great looking. She's happy with the food. There's a good patient ratio to the staff. They have a dining area where they do different events for the people who live there."

"Our family member was admitted to Legacy from the hospital after falling at home. It is not a new facility, and we were concerned after reading the reviews, though most of the reviews we looked at were old. We were very pleasantly surprised by the caring, family atmosphere and the kindness of the nursing and administration staff. They are working on updating the rooms, and my mom said her therapy was very helpful. She enjoyed the food, especially the mashed potatoes. She is social and enjoyed the crafting activities and the Bingo. They worked with mom's insurance to pay for her therapy, and she came home much better than when she was admitted. It's an older home, but for our family, the care and concern for our family outweighed that."

"My grandma was a resident of the Methodist Nursing Home of Fort Smith. It's nice, but some of the nurses there, I had to go off several times when my grandmother was there because they hated to see me. I would go off about anything because I don't believe in people treating old people wrong or talking to them about crazy stuff like that. I know they play bingo and just different little things, and they'll play music for them. The food was alright because it was for the people in nursing homes. I had an incident with the staff, but other than that, the rest of the staff was awesome. They did have some good workers. The price was worth it."

"We were able to do the last mass for dying people. It was one of the most amazing things to ever be a part of. The staff was very comforting and alert but not overbearing. From what I saw that day, many elderly people comfortably take there final steps in their life's journey. "

"i have had several family members in this facility for both short and long term care. The facility is always clean and staff are helpful, friendly and give great care. The end of life care given to my father was above and beyond and i will be forever grateful. The meals are amazing. Many different activities are scheduled daily - Bingo was my dads favorite activity . 5 STAR facility in every way! "

"My wife is at Covington Court Health and Rehabilitation Center. Everything I have seen so far is just very good. The staff had been good so far. They don't accept visitors. Up until yesterday, or a day before maybe, she was in a private room; they moved her. I have only seen the place from the outside, and it is very clean. They have limited parking, but there was enough, sufficient, but I could say that they might overflow. She's undergoing PT, but I don't know what else has been offered to her. The price is not unreasonable; our 20 days is covered by Medicare."

"Ashton Place Manor is a nursing home that has a wonderful and very clean facility located in an easy to get to location. The nurses and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) who work there are always very helpful when I go by to visit my grandmother, who is a current resident at their facility. They always have games that they are playing with the residents and everyone seems to be having a great time whenever I stop by. I visited several different nursing homes in the area during my search for one for my grandmother, and Ashton Place seemed to stand out among the crowd. Besides being very clean (which is not always the case), the food there is actually pretty good and the residents are treated how I would want myself to be treated. I would definitely feel good about having someone I loved living at Ashton Place Manor or even living there some day myself. "

"I suppose what struck me most was the smell. What I mean by that is that most nursing homes we visited before my family decided on putting my grandmother in an assisted living center had a distinct mix of putrid smells: urine, feces and -I hate to say it, but I will- old people. River Valley Health and Rehabilitation, though it couldn't quite be absolved from being offensive to the olfactory system, was by far the cleaner smelling of the homes we visited. The staff seemed friendly, competent and eager to help and please. This was even while we would have family members drop in without a set schedule just to see if they were consistently taking care of our grandmother/mother (depending, of course, on the relationship of whoever visited.) The only reason I refrained from giving five stars was because though the facility was the cleaner of places we had been to and was obviously kept up with, it did seem a little run down and old. You can tell the maintenance and janitorial staff did their respective jobs well, but there's only so much you can do with an old building. "

"My mom has lived at Greenhurst for approximately 8 years due to multiple Strokes. During this time she has been absolutely so well taken care of that she's gained weight and is as healthy as she can be for a 97 year old lady. Never one time when I've entered Greenhurst have I smelled anything related to a nursing home. It smells like home. I know Jonas and his staff take care of our loved ones more than any place they could be. I know this because I retired as an Adult Protective Service investigator and have gone into many homes and know the difficulty of keeping them clean and sanitary. Greenhurst nursing home does this. They have my five star rating."

"At first I was very skeptical, as I am for most assisted living facilities. With a decent reputation and suggestions from friends as well as employees of the facility I was crucial in making the choice to place my relative here. Initially I had a bit of trouble, but it was to be expected with the advanced case that he suffered from, so I was not thrown off. There was but one incident, a laundry dispute, which mostly took place between the staff and my then fiance. After the quarrel was settled I rarely had any issues with the facility. In the untimely passing of my relative, the staff and company as a whole were very supportive and respectful. I was very pleased with the way they handled not only his stay there, but the ordeal as a whole. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of the services. "

"I found that the workers of this facility treated my family member as if they were their own. The nurses aid's were very gentle and were always trying to please the patient. I never had a bad experience with the nurses aids. The nurses that were on charge was a different story. Some nurse seemed to have my family members and other patients needs as priority, but then there were some who thought that it was a waste of their time assiting the patients and would rather be setting up at the desk. I did notice that the facility followed all state and federal laws especially when it came to the patients privacy. I did notice that the facility could use some up-to-date items, such as lifts and furniture. The Director of Nursing was always at the facility during daytime hours and was always more than happy to help or answer any questions that I had. I would say this is a good facility all around, but could use some up-to-date items. "
